EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION 2/12/13
It is important
to note that my Grandmother passed away on January 16, 2010 so January 16, 2013
is her 3rd year death anniversary which is a significant year in most Asian
cultures. Also, it is important to note that the event occurred 1 day before
the Vietnamese Lunar New Year and on the day of the New Year as well as 7 days
after the New Year. It is significant to note that this year is the Year of the
Snake, which is the animal year of my Grandmother.
We had a very big snowstorm - so big that the Governor called for a State of Emergency and a 24 hour travel ban on all roads. My 3 year and 10 month old and my husband went outside around Noon on the day after the snowstorm to shovel our driveway. My son was outside for approximately 15 minutes shoveling and playing in the snow. He then came inside and when he entered the kitchen and with his big eyes opened wide and mouth shaped in an "O" he said "why is the house all pink?" I asked him what he meant. He then went to the windows in the solarium, which is attached to the kitchen and said, "all here is pink." I grabbed a cup full of colored pencils and asked him to pick a pink pencil out. He correctly identified a pink pencil. He then said, "Oh, it's so pink Momma, so pretty Momma." He saw something that I did not see. I asked him "Where is the pink now?" He went to my computer in the solarium and said, "Here Momma, here." Then he slowly ran as if he was following something and he said, "Pink is here now Momma in my playroom." (Our family room is my son's playroom.) He said, "Pink is all around my toys Momma." I tried to focus my eyes but I didn't see a single thing. I thought perhaps my son's eyesight was affected by being outside and looking at the bright snow. I shrugged off of the incident. This event occurred on Saturday, Feb 12th. On Sunday, Feb 13th was Lunar New Year.
My normally sleep with my son. On Sunday morning my son was moving around so much that I couldn't sleep so I went to the room where my husband was sleeping and asked him to go sleep with our son while I lie in his bed to try to get some more sleep. The minute that I lie down and my husband had left the room, the smoke detector in that very same room went off. My husband ran everywhere in the house looking the detector that went off but didn't find anything then he came into my room and removed the detector. I had a hunch then it was my Grandmother letting me know that she was in the house and that my son seeing pink was not an impact of the snow but it was her. He later installed the smoke detector back into its original place and no sound emerge.
On Sunday night when we sat down for dinner, the smoke detector in the room where I had lie down went off again. My husband looked up into the room from the 1st floor and he said, "It's Grandma." The minute he said "It's Grandma," the detector went silent and he didn't have to remove it. Our house is a 2 year old house -- almost totally brand new so it is unusual for anything to malfunction.
On Sunday, Feb 17th (7 days after Lunar New Year and 7 days after the last 2 incidents when the smoke detector in a certain room went off), I was working in our office on the 2nd floor of our house. My son was laying down with my husband in the master bedroom. They were there for at least 20 or 30 minutes. Then my husband left the room. A few minutes later, I entered the room. The moment that I entered the master bedroom, the smoke detector went off for less than 5 seconds. My husband grabbed the step ladder from the bathroom down the short hallway and he said, "Maybe it's Grandma." Before my husband reached master bedroom, the smoke detector went silent.
We
believe that my Grandmother came back for a visit. This year is important
because it is her 3rd year death anniversary and it is the Lunar New Year - the
year of her birth animal. She wanted to make sure that I know the messages (the
smoke detectors going off in the room where I was present) were for me. She
wanted to make clear to me that my toddler son saw her and that the bright snow
did not affect his eyesight in any way and that she visited me and him -- "the
pink was near my computer desk in the solarium and all over my son's toys in the
family room."

Experience description 10/10/11:
This experience has occurred 2 times before and I also reported those experiences to this website.
On 13 Sept 2011 shortly before 8 PM, my husband, son and I were watching TV together. The TV was on medium loud. I had baked some Vietnamese crackers and I munching on them. My son wanted some so I broke a piece and gave it to him. For some reasons, I was in a teasing mood so grabbed his piece and shoved it into my mouth. My son was sitting on the couch next to me and my husband was sitting on the floor and leaning against the same couch. When I grabbed in rice cracker, my son cried. My husband said in great disbelief and half laughing, "I can't believe you just did that. Give him a piece. Take a small piece out of your mouth and give to him so he'll stop crying." I took a small piece from my mouth and handed it to my son while I was laughing so much. My son was so adorable... he cried, shook his head and refused the small morsel that was handing to him but he kept pointing at my mouth as if to say, "I can't believe you ate my cracker!" I was laughing so hard but then in my head I heard my Grandmother rebuking me, "Don't tease the baby Thao." In the same voice that she often used with me.
Within less than a minute of hearing my Grandmother's voice in my head, my
husband said, "Is that music coming from the toy keyboard?" My son has a
plastic toy keyboard (like a mini handheld piano) which only emits a sound for
every key stroke. Still laughing, I turned my attention to the toy keyboard
laying upside down on the floor about 2 feet from where we were sitting. I
grabbed the remote control and muted the TV. True enough. The toy keyboard was
playing a tune all by itself. No one touched it before the tune started... no
one was near it. I picked up the keyboard and examined it in disbelief. My
husband, who was previously skeptical about "life after death" immediately
exclaimed, "It's Grandma!" The tune got louder and louder and played
continuously for about 1 minute. My husband grabbed the video camcorder and
recorded it. The tune only stopped when I handed the keyboard to my son. I am
sure my Grandmother lives with us and enjoys life with us -- in a different form
-- but nevertheless with us.
Was this
experience difficult to express in words?
No
Did you ONLY sense an
awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling
or smelling them?
Yes
Did you hear the
deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
Yes

voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or
did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was
communicated?
Inside my head first then on the toy keyboard
If you
heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the
deceased made when they were alive?
Very similar to how she
would have rebuked me in cases like this since I used to tease my baby cousins
(her other grandchildren in similar manners).
Is there
any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
No, not possible since
we muted the TV immediately and I picked up the toy keyboard and held it in my
hand while it continued to play the tune. There is nothing (no button, no
switch) on the toy keyboard that would enable the user to replicate such tune.
Was
there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?
No.

or experience any physical contact from the deceased?
No
Did you see the
deceased?
No

Experience description 4/15/11:
About 6+ months ago, I bought a mini keyboard (piano like) that was attached to a cardboard like Christmas song book. The keyboard is just like a little piano and it run by battery. There is no on/off switch. If you strike a key, a sound will come out... just like a piano. A sound will only be heard if someone hits on the key. My son has played on this keyboard many, many times and so have I.
One night in early April 2011, we were watching TV in the family room while our 2 year old son was playing in the family room. Suddenly we hear music coming from the mini keyboard as it was lying on the floor. A whole tune/song emanated from the keyboard. I didn't pay much attention to it even though I heard it. My husband commented that the music was coming from the mini keyboard.
The next day as we were having dinner, my husband casually mentioned that he had been hitting every combination of the keys on the keyboard to try to replicate the music that we heard the night before but he couldn't figure out how to do it. We've had the keyboard for over 6 months. It has been stepped on, large items have been placed on it and it has bounced all over the place in the trunk, in the car, in boxes, etc but never have we heard a melody coming from it.
On April 15, 2011, I was home alone with my son. It was early 7ish PM. The TV was on low, I was sitting on the couch, my son was playing next to the couch. Suddenly, we hear a melody from the mini keyboard. I picked up the keyboard and examined it. My son was so excited. He jumped up and down, screamed very loud, came over and started hitting the keys on the keyboard. The melody continued for about a minute or so and then suddenly stopped. I have tried to hit every keyboard in different combinations to try to replicate the melody but no luck.
Now that I've thought it, I think my Grandmother who passed away on January 16, 2010, came back to say "Happy Birthday" to my son who turned 2 on April 1st because the music occurred around that time or shortly after the 1st. The 2nd incident that occurred on April 15, 2011 was for me -- she was playing the mini keyboard to say "Happy Birthday" to me. My 40th birthday was on April 20th and she wanted me to know that she remembers. Last year, when my son turned 1, I was so very sad because she was not with us when he turned 1. Also when my birthday came around last year, I broke down crying all day because she wasn't with me. I told her that she shouldn't have left before our birthdays because we needed her so much, especially to celebrate my son's first birthday!
I
think this year, she wanted to let us know that she knows our birthdays were
coming and she played a melody for us separately to celebrate our birthdays with
us. THANK YOU GRANDMA!!

Experience description:
Experience 1. A few days after Grandmother passed away, my husband, son and I were sleeping in the room where she slept when she was alive. Suddenly I was awaken by a soft, beautiful pinkish light that was made up many tiny lights in a foggy semi-circle that was hovering over the ceiling direly at my eye sight when I opened my eyes. My first thought was, "what a beautiful light, where is it coming from." It made the room felt so warm and peaceful. I leaned over to the window and looked through the blinds to see if there was a cop car outside with his siren lights on because I couldn't tell what was creating this pinkish light in the room. My husband was half asleep and leaned over me to look but we both saw nothing. We didn't exchange any words. When I looked back, the light was gone. I tried to talk to him about it but for many months he didn't confirm to me that he saw the light and the tiny dots floating/hovering under the ceiling. My husband only confirmed that he also witnessed what I saw when the 2nd incident occurred.
We left Oklahoma City and returned to Attleboro, MA after my grandmother passed away. I was devastated and took sleeping pills so that I would not wake up. For 3 days straight, I stayed in bed. Many strange things happened in my house -- the stove fan went off by itself, there were a lot of banging on the window in the room I was sleeping in but there were no trees, houses on that side of our house. The lights on 2 floors worked except on the floor where my bedroom was. When I asked Grandmother if she didn't want me to stay in bed anymore, things started to go back to normal. No more banging on the window, lights in the house worked normally, the fan stopped going off by itself.
Experience 2 One night, I was lying in our bedroom with my 11 months old son. The room was pitched black. No moon that night. I was crying a lot because I missed Grandmother so much. My husband eventually walked into the pitched black room holding his camera, which was turned off. He closed the door and then suddenly we saw a small flash of light as if the light was trying to come on then a bright, bright flash of beautiful white light just emanated from somewhere and lit up room completely. The light was beautiful. We were both shocked since there was no noise, complete silence when this light went off. We looked at his camera. It was totally off. I turned it on and it made a clicking sound. If we were to take a picture, a yellow light would go off first then a white light but you could hear the camera sound and the clicking sound. However, when the natural bright light went off and filled the room, we didn't hear anything and it was much, much brighter than the camera light. Our experience is very similar to Cheryl T ADC 1832 Experience.
Experience 3: We moved to another house in May 2010. On October 17, 2010, I was sleeping in bed very soundly. Suddenly, I heard Grandmother's voice, "wake up and go to the bathroom," just like she used to do when I was a little girl living with her in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. I responded in my head, "no, I don't want to go to the bathroom." But for some reasons, I did get up. I sat up in bed and because the master bedroom French doors are open (they are open most of the time) and the bathroom door was also wide open, I could see the window in the bathroom. Strangely enough tonight, I sat straight up in bed as opposed to sliding off of the bed without first sitting straight up as I always do when I crawl out of bed to go to the bathroom at nights. I saw a beautiful amber color light that embraced the entire frame of the window in the bathroom -- the light was pulsating in the center and the center part of the light was "dancing / pulsating" as if it was alive and not like a street light or a car's headlights. The light seemed to be alive. It slightly constricted and then opened up like an amber flower. I blinked a couple of time to ensure that I was truly seeing this light. It was so beautiful so I called to my husband who was sleeping on a mattress on the floor in the master bedroom sitting area (he was only a few feet away from me; He sleeps here to not disturb me with his constant snoring and tossing and turning). I said to him, Honey, wake up and look at this beautiful moon. Its very beautiful For some reasons, I thought it was the moon that was directly outside the window and giving off this glow of amber color. He sat up and I got off of our bed and hand-in-hand we walked towards the bathroom. I was so confused and in disbelief when I looked out of the window and saw the moon up very high in the sky and was quite small the size of a medium salad bowl. The moon was nowhere near my bathroom window. I then told my husband to go up and sit on the bed, you can see the beautiful amber colors. He was irritated with me so he flatly said "no" as he staggered towards our bed while half asleep. I went to the bathroom and was quite confused. When I came out of the bathroom, my husband was standing near our bed as he waited for me to climb into bed to tuck me in. He then went back to his mattress.
I looked at the clock and saw that it was 1:22 AM. I couldn't explain the amber colors which emanated outside the window. I sat up in bed again and looked straight at the window. I only saw darkness but then I leaned my body to the left and looked at the window again and I saw 2 round flashes of amber lights (probably the size of a dollar coin). The 2 lights were floating mid-air and kind of danced away. I righted myself in bed and thought for about 2 seconds then leaned again to the left to see whether I could see the amber lights again. I saw that they were moving further away but 1 light was lingering an the other moved further away then the lingering light caught up with the first one that moved away.
Experience 4: I was
ill most of yesterday. I picked my son up from daycare at 5:30 and we went
home. I tried to feed him then took him into our bedroom at 7 PM. It's winter
in Massachusetts so it's very dark around 7 PM. We stayed in bed for a few
minutes and I felt very nauseated. I grabbed my 20 months old son and told him
I was taking him to his room to sleep in his crib. He cried and struggled with
me because he didn't want to sleep by himself. My husband was traveling for
business and I was getting scared. I didn't want my son to see me vomit and I
was afraid I would faint with him in my arms. I cried out in my head for my
grandmother. I said in my head, "Grandmother, you have to take care of the
baby. I'm going to vomit and I might faint. You have to protect him." I ran
to my son's room; dropped him into his crib; I ran back into my room and into
the bathroom to vomit. I vomited several times and each time I'd cleaned myself
up. Then I thought I was going to faint. I steadied myself. I could hear the
baby crying. Then when I thought I was going to be OK, I walked out of the
bathroom and then down the hallway. There was no light in the hallway but then
I saw a light in my grandmother's room went on. (I love my grandmother very
much and I had promised her when she was alive that when I have my own house,
there would always be a room for her. So in this house, we have a room for her,
with all her things, her flowers, her books, her pictures line the 4 walls and
the room is decorated in her favorite color -- white.) I think Grandmother made
the light in her room turned on because she was trying to communicate to me that
she is watching over her great-grandson. My son's room faces Grandmother's
room. They would have shared the same bathroom had she was alive with us. For
many months, I have not felt her in my house but last night, I knew she was in
the house and I knew she was taking care of the baby when I became sick.

asked Grandmother to follow me, be with me always. I've asked her to not
frighten me. All the experiences that I've had occurred when my husband is with
me except for yesterday when I was sick. I think Grandmother knows that I'm no
longer afraid of her spirit. I've told her spirit that she should always be in
our house, do whatever she likes for I am no longer afraid.
