It was a few days after
my brother had passed away and I was pacing my Mother's driveway just after
midnight mourning my brother and asking God to send me a sign that he was okay.
I felt confident that he would as while my brothers friends had gathered that
evening and we began to talk about him the living room light flashed a few
times. After everyone left I was pacing the driveway speaking to God, mourning
and praying. I looked into the sky and a light came down almost like a firework,
through the tree across the street with shimmering sparkles and was there
briefly it came very close to me and then pulled back up into the sky. It was
very real so real I asked my friend/now husband if he had just seen what I saw
and he said yes that was not of this world as sad as I was I believe I had just
received the answer I was looking for. A few years after my brother's passing
lights would flash at the mention of him and strangely enough I gave birth to my
daughter exactly 3 years to the date of this experience and as I walked to the
hospital window there was a car parked out front that had a tag that said "Boo"
my brother's nick name maybe a sign he was there or coincidence not sure but not
very likely that a tag would be on a car in front of my hospital window reading
an unusual nickname. I still wonder about the light I saw and what it was. I
know it was beautiful shimmering it calmed me at the moment but didn't relieve
my grief just answered my question at that moment...was brother okay? the light
came and I felt peace and he was trying to let me know.
Was this experience
difficult to express in words?
Yes
Often wondering what
it was and still thinking about it, the only way I can describe it is like a
firework that came down from the sky in a shimmering light for a very brief
moment and then pulled back up into the sky....as it came down through a tree
across the street it looked as though it nearly touched me before it was pulled
back up.
