At the time I was undergoing a kind of appraisal and general meeting with my line-manager. He came into my office and I drew up a chair next to mine so that he could see my computer screen as I had a view to showing him the latest activity on my patch. After some initial discussion he (my line manager) then began to do what he thought he was paid to do and, go into some lengthy discussion about some tender that I had submitted to a local authority and review my sales figures for that month.
Anyway, these sort of meetings always bored me stiff and, in my pretence to appear to be very interested in his wisdom I turned to my left and looked him square in the face - as though I was hearing a revelation!
As I did so - I found myself staring into the face of my Father - not 5 inches away from my face! Time stopped and I simply starred into my manager's face in awe - seeing my father's face clearly superimposed on his.
To my mind this event lasted just milliseconds and simultaneously - minutes.
I forget how our
meeting was concluded but I do know that Stuart, my line manager was not aware
of my ''freezing in time and space'' to perceive such truth.

I actually chuckle when

seems to me that - THAT'S LIFE!
