My father passed away suddenly, unexpectedly from an apparent heart attack in November 1995. For several days that followed, I was in a deep state of grief. My family was consumed with taking care of the cremation, funeral, and financial aspects of my Father's death. I was too much in shock to be helpful and I felt oddly isolated in my grieving. A dear friend and coworker recognized that my suffering was severe and called daily to check on me. During one of our calls he shared a story of his sister's death from Leukemia. I asked him if he felt that we would see them again. He felt sure that we would. After hanging up with him - I felt like the floodgates of my grief just flew open. I sat in my couch in a ball crying hysterically. I cried so hard that I gave myself a migraine and turned all the lights out. It was dusk and my apartment was nearly dark and silent - except for my quietly repeating "please, please give me proof" - I must have mumbled this 50 times and then something miraculous happened. My television went on by itself (I was no where near the remote) and it kept switching channels - as if searching. After six or so channel switches it stopped dead on the show from the 1990's called Unsolved Mysteries. Unbelievably, the program was on The question of evidence of the afterlife. I sat in shock over what had just happened and watched the entire episode. During the program I felt a warmth run through me - like a hug from above.
Looking back on this
experience - I am confident that this was miraculous. I did not have any
electrical problems where I lived and my Father was an Electrical Engineer who
in his career did a lot of work with early design of televisions. This would be
his medium of choice to communicate with me. This opened my mind to the
possibility of the afterlife. Several years later I would have more ADC's from
my deceased Catt - visual, in dreams and through touch.

In a sense, I was
traumatically injured and suffered damage to my autonomic nervous system - this
was several years later. During this period - I felt that my senses have become
heightened. I have had my hearing tested and it is so acute that I can now pick
up on vibrations. My sense of smell can detect disease with my cat (diabetes,
renal failure), and I am acutely aware of biological responses in my body.
Inthink that this has added to my perceptions.
Did the questions
asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your
experience?
Yes
Please offer any
suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.
None. I enjoyed
reading Evidence of the Afterlife. It was great to see "scientific"
explanations debunked.
