Experience description:
I was
asleep and suddenly my grandmother appeared only it wasn't like a dream at all.
She was standing in front of me in a blue suit, purse, white gloves and a white
pill box hat like she might have worn in the 60's. She was standing in a
completely white, hazy fog. She was waving at me but did not speak.
My husband
said that I immediately sat up in bed and said that my 'Mammaw' had died. At
the same time our telephone rang and my husband answered it. It was around 5:30
in the morning and it was my mother telling us that my grandmother had died.
She had been in the hospital for angina pains but was scheduled to be released
that day because the doctor's could find nothing wrong with her. I later found
out that her heart had simply quit beating.
I don't
recall any type of conversation with my grandmother or that she was relaying any
information to me. She was just standing there waving and her appearance did
not have the quality of a dream. It was as if she was actually standing in
front of me.
