I remember trying to
fall asleep - my son had passed on 7/6 at approximately 8:00 p.m. and the
coroner came to my door at 2:00 a.m. I don't believe I had slept until I laid
my head on the pillow. I remember concentrating on my son - I was in shock and
disbelief - there is no way my son passed on and how they told me he did was
just surreal. I remember walking into my bedroom and my son was sitting on the
chair in my room. He got up to greet me and I said, "I knew you wouldn't leave
me". He said, "Mom, I'm gone" and I said, "No No NO please don't leave me -
please keep coming back because you know how much mommy will miss you Kenny" and
he touched my shoulder and said "Mom, I'll be back but it won't be for a long
time - I have work to do and I'll be busy" and I cried and cried and he hugged
me and I felt him - I felt his warmth, I felt his body, smelled his hair - I
know I did. All of sudden my 12-year old was standing in my room saying "mom,
why are you hugging the chair, there is nobody in it". That was the only visit I
had from him.

When
I was about 10 or 11 years old, my sister was reading a book with a low light on
(we shared a room) and I was asleep. She told me then and the story remains the
