It was
before I ever heard of NDE. My grandmother had just died and I was devastated.
I wanted to be with her. I walked down a tunnel with a bright light shining at
the end of the tunnel. My grandmother was there, she told me it was not my
time, I must go back, I could not stay. I woke up, there appeared to be an
apparition in the corner of the room looking over me. I felt comforted.
Any
associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
Was
the kind of experience difficult to express in words?

event?
No
What
was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?
I was
in the tunnel completely awake and aware.
Was the
experience dream like in any way?
It was not like
dreams. When I wake up from a dream I know I was dreaming. This was real.
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
Uncertain
I may
have left my body since it was very real that I was walking down the tunnel.
What
emotions did you feel during the experience?
I felt love and
wanted to stay with my grandmother.
Did
you hear any unusual sounds or noises?
No

No

different?
Uncertain
I
think I felt more (like feeling the light maybe rather than seeing it) and may
have communicated directly mind to mind rather than speaking.
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
Yes
I
felt like I was floating, but I cannot really describe this.
Did
you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose?
Yes
Yes,
knowing that my grandmother would be waiting for me in the tunnel when I die.

More
interested in knowing if this was real. More interest in Buddhism. As I said, I
had never heard of NDE until after this experience and it does give me some
comfort and hope that I will continue to exist after my body dies.
How
has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices?
