I suddenly began singing a song by Schumann (In der Fremde=Abroad). At that moment my sister called from the USA and told me our father had crossed over, and I knew. As for the OBE, I was lying in my bed (in the 60's) and thought I was dreaming about floating in the air, looking down at a little black dog on a small white island barking at me, and when I looked up I saw beautiful gray-blue clouds. At that point I felt myself being drawn back into my body (I tried to resist, but couldn't), and when I "plumped" back into my body (I was on my back) I awoke, but was unable to move at all. It took several minutes for me to finally move. Since then I've had no other such experiences.
Was this experience difficult to express in words?
No
Did you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the
deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling them?
No
Did you hear the deceased or hear something
associated with the deceased?
No
Did you feel a touch or experience any physical
contact from the deceased?
No
Did you see the deceased?
No
Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance
or odor associated with the deceased?
No
How long did the experience last?
The OBE seemed to be
rather short. The knowledge of my
father's crossing was only vague---until my sister called to tell me, and I
could tell her that I already knew.
Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
The OBE was sudden at the beginning and slow at the end. The knowledge of my
father's passing was sudden, when I realized that was why I suddenly began to
sing that song.
Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?
No
Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?
No.
How do you currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
definitely real

No
Did the experience give you any spiritual
understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?

Obviously OBE Experiences exist, and telepathy also (regarding my father's

dies first will try to contact the other(s).
Have you ever made such a compact?
Yes
I know of these from my cousin.
Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your
experience that could be verified later?
Yes
Nothing regarding the OBE, but the confirmation of my sister regarding my
father's passing. She was quite amazed that I "already" knew.

Amazement after the
OBE, sadness and acceptance after my realizing my father had passed.
Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?
