In
the few weeks coming up to my experience I had started dreaming about my dog who
died in 2011. These dreams were pleasant as though he was trying to comfort me
and make me happy. I hadn't dreamt about him for a while prior to those weeks.
On
the date given, I had thought about Fabregas before going to bed, and after
having usual dreams, suddenly they changed. I was in a white room with my dog
and it was unclear where the boundaries of walls where, almost as though the
only physical things present were myself and my dog. He then leapt with his
front paws onto my shoulders but instead of looking happy as usual, he looked
concerned. He jumped down to stand on the floor and pushed his side into me but
when I stroked him as I usually would he bared his teeth and looked in pain.
I
then woke up around 2/3 am.
It
was a sad dream, but I went back to sleep.
The next morning around 8am we got a phone call from our house sitter (in North
East England) that she had come downstairs and found our dog dead.
Was this experience difficult to express in words?
No
Did you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the
deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling them?
No
Did you hear the deceased or hear something
associated with the deceased?
No
Did you feel a touch or experience any physical
contact from the deceased?
Yes
As explained, he jumped with his front paws onto my shoulders then pushed
his side into me.
Was the touch familiar or unfamiliar?
Familiar, but the facial expression was unfamiliar.
Was anything communicated by the touch?
Concern and perhaps fear.
Is there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in
the surroundings at the time of your experience?
No, I was sleeping alone on the bottom of a bunk
bed in a locked room.
Did you see the deceased?
Yes
The same as when alive, except not happy.
How clearly did the deceased appear?
solid.
How much of the deceased did you see?
all.
Did the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which
they died?
Appeared to be at age of death.
How healthy did the deceased appear to be?
Very healthy, he had no pre-existing conditions we were aware of.
Is there any possibility what you saw was from any other
source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?
no
Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance
or odor associated with the deceased?
No
How long did the experience last?
It must have been
minutes.
Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
Both were sudden. Like an interruption to my usual dreams and then sudden
awakening.
Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?
Yes
Concern and possibly fear.
How do you currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
probably real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not
real:
Seems like too much of a coincidence to be unreal.
I once had a premonition dream when I was around 11 which was
100% accurate down to every detail. Sometimes (more rarely as I age) I know
exactly what people are going to say before they say it and I can see it happen
in my head.
Was the experience dream like in any way?
Yes
Describe in detail
your feelings/emotions during the experience:
Confusion and concern.
Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?
No
What was the best and worst part of your experience?
Best - I know that if his death was as quick as his visit to me it wasn't
too long.
Worst - I feel like he came to me asking for help and I could do nothing.
Has your life changed specifically as a result of
your experience?
No
Did you have any
changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes More certain
than humans and animals are more than machines simply designed to survive.
Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life,
death, afterlife, God, etc.?
Yes There is
likely a greater connection between beings than we know of.
Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever
dies first will try to contact the other(s).
Have you ever made such a compact?
No
Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your
experience that could be verified later?
Yes
My dog was dead.
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
Concern, tiredness.
Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?
No
Did you have any sense of altered space or time?
Uncertain
The 'space' we were in was like no place I know of. It was just white,
almost with a glow, and the space we were in had no lines or edges or shape.
Almost like a meeting place for two consciousnesses.
Did you have a sense of knowing, special
knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?
No
Did you become aware of future events?
Yes
I didn't know my dog had died, but retrospectively it suggests a hint
towards future events.
Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other
special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the
experience?
No
Did you experience a separation of your
consciousness from your body?
No
Did you meet or see any other beings other than
the deceased?
No
Did you see a light?
No
Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a
place other than the location described above?
No
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes
Mum and Dad - skeptical.
Brother - no response.
Sister - believed me.
Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web site? No
