My father had died some weeks ago and I was in mourning.
I was unable to accept two circumstances in his dying.
1. that he, a very headstrong person had been crushed by a stroke. I could not stand the humiliation for him, that I felt in this
2. that I, as my mother called me from the house to come and help them, had, unaware of his stroke, not recognized any urgency and had obstinately been going on with my work thus delaying his rescue.
In my grief those two circumstances tortured me as unnecessary and unjust and I was fighting fate.
At the related incident, I was sitting by the oven in my work room, sobbing and inner-talking.
Suddenly the presence of my deceased father approached my from the left side, putting his hand on my shoulder and instantly comforting me to happiness. He made my know, without words, that everything was just right and nothing was there to complain about. So, within less than a second I was all content and reconciled and just sure, that he was all joy.
After that, I have been sad that he passed away, but everything felt right.
My point, why I am sharing this experience is, that I have heard of theories suggesting the brain produces some sort of hallucinatory field, the light and unconditional love being merely phenomena of physical response to extreme stress.
Yet
for me I can say, I was in no danger whatsoever. The stress level I had at that
point was definitely below that I had when my father was actually dying.
