I had been going through tremendous stress at a job my father wanted me to quit.

I was shaking in upset. making dinner, turned around to open the refrigerator and had a partial vision (a man was standing just outside the kitchen door, wearing my dads dark blue gym shorts and a grey tee-shirt my dad used to wear with a red and white tiny circular emblem. same height as my dad, a sense of wrinkled skin. the face was not visualized. I looked again and he was gone. then I thought maybe a burglar was in the house. and I looked again and then I knew someone was there. I felt very scared because I instinctively knew someone was there, but I couldn't see anyone. I said "poppy, what are you doing over there, you scared me"?

"What are you trying to communicate?"  I felt harmonious, calm and cleansed for a full day. the next day went to turn the stove on to cook dinner and there was a rattler snake sitting on top of the stove, wrapped around all these objects and difficult to remove. wonder if my dad came about the unfinished business of wanting me out of my job. he also wanted me out of my house because I am not near family and am all alone.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?     No  

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?   No                                   

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?   No             

Was anything communicated by the touch?   overall sense was he was still there supporting me as solid as ever. I sense there was a message, maybe a warning of trouble ahead unless I make some changes in my life.

Is there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?   I live alone.

Did you see the deceased?   Yes    flash of wrinkled skin (like my dad), wearing his dark blue gym shorts, his grey tee-shirt with the tiny red and white circular emblem, same height as my dead

How clearly did the deceased appear?   relatively clear but brief

How much of the deceased did you see?    clothing and wrinkled skin

Did the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?   yes same age as their death

How healthy did the deceased appear to be?    you could tell he was elderly but not suffering physically.

Is there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?    no one lives with me. no one else was in the house.

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?    No                

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?   Yes     solid support

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?   I did not know you could have that type of experience. he was there for a reason

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?    Experience was definitely real    dreams from my father of him jumping up and down on bed, pounding on my bed trying to get my attention and wake me up-trying to communicate with me. in my dream he had a message "you need to make some significant changes in your life".

You just know the person is there. there is no doubting it. it scares you so much at first because you know someone is there, but reality says it cant be.

Was the experience dream like in any way?    Uncertain    dreamlike in the fact that it was other worldly, unexpected,

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?    Yes    feel special because he came. feel more connected in a spiritual way.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?    worst part is trying to make sure I understand his message and not being able to just have him tell me like he did when he was alive. best part is being with the energy of my father and feeling his steadfast protection of me.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?    Uncertain    maybe making significant changes in my life because of it. just happened 2 days ago.    

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?    Yes    sense of being propelled through something bigger then my life, sense I have a higher purposes, sense of being in tune enough to be open to an experience like this, more trusting, sense of the continuous nature of life, sense of goodness in the world, sense of destiny, etc

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?    Yes    my brother got a message in the sky from my dad "hi". he has been very busy

in our dreams. dying is not so bad anymore. there is something after death.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?   Uncertain

Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?    No   

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?       Yes    when I dreamt of someone jumping on my bed, I knew I was home alone and it couldn't be possible someone was jumping on my bed. he was very persistent in the dream and it felt like I was hallucinating even though this time it was a dream.

when I had the partial vision while awake, I had no sense of altered time.

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?        Yes    I am gifted psychologically in reading others and understanding the emotions, feeling the emotions of others, having empathy for others, being protective of others. I was born for this type of stuff.

Did you become aware of future events?           Uncertain    his visit could be a message to leave job and house (as this is what he wanted me to do).

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?     No    only happened 2 days ago

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?    No   

Did you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?    Yes    my grandfather came to see me 3 times before my dad and my grandmother died.

Did you see a light?    Yes    in my waking vision there was no light. in my dream there was a tunnel with a yellow light that kept getting brighter and brighter the closer it got.

Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?   No   

Have you shared this experience with others?    Yes    family members are all very very interested. prompted many emails, phone calls, texts. a thrilling event.

Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web site?    No   

Is there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?    there is a significant thing happening here. it is as if there is a lot of

activity going on behind the scenes and I am being propelled and guided and protected

Did you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other spiritual event?      Yes    as a child, felt where my young girlfriend was present in the room at her wake.

she hated the gray dress her mom had her wear and she hated the pink shirt she was wearing in the casket. felt she had a lot of anger towards her mother. young

child died in a train accident/suicide?
