Dog's ADC/DBV

I don't describe an NDE, but something totally different.
Our little dog Anton, a Jack-Russel-terrier, brought us a lot of joy during 17 years. Eventually he couldn't see and hear but only few things, and a few months later he was all blind and deaf. We went to the veterinary, as often as required, and he as a dog got the best possible care. Two days before his death he just slept the whole day. At the veterinary's place he was diagnosed with much pus in the brain and he seemed to have pain. So the family decided to ask for the final injection for our little treasure. 1 or 2 seconds after the injection he must have seen something, as while lying in the arms of my daughter, his tail wagged madly. During lifetime he was this happy only when a family member came back after a prolonged absence, or when he saw a white poodle. This happened rarely, but he was 'crazy' about this race. We are absolutely sure, and the veterinary confirmed it too, that he was no more alive when the wagging happened.
My wife, our daughter and Anton went every day to the local zoo. The three of them had an annual ticket with foto and a chip. After we buried Anton in our garden, my wife and daughter wanted to go to to the zoo, this time without Anton. This way they wanted to cope with their sadness. First my wife passed the gate, than Anja. My daughter said, lets also use Antons card once again. And now comes what is completely unexplainable for us: The machine didn't accept Antons card, despite the fact that it was still valid for two months. They tried it several times - to no avail. The employee of the zoo asked them to wait for a moment. She took a handheld scanner, but this also ignored the card. All our friends we talked about this, remained open mouthed, nobody could tell us anything about. What could they tell anyhow?
Are there any similar cases known? Do pets also live on after death? Do you know anything about this. We know nothing whatsoever about this.
nice
greetings Otto
