The morning, after the
second night after his passing, I woke up after a dream, chuckling. I felt in a
very funny mood. After waking I realized that my father had made me laugh in his
own, inimitable way. After waking up, I felt light of heart, and I knew that it
was he who had made me laugh. A second later I realized my fathers passing. As I
lay wondering about this experience, I felt a warm sensation near my right
cheek, as if I was being touched there. It was as if my dad very lightly touched
my cheek. He sometimes did that when I was a child. It was a very moving and
wonderful experience. It caused me to decide that I would indeed sing at his
funeral. It gave me strength to carry through, be strong for my mom, for the
funeral arrangements and the other many things that need to be taken care of in
general after a person dies, since I was the only one who could be in charge.

weight was on my shoulders concerning everything that needed to be arranged
