I was having insomnia, and finally nodded off in early
hours of morning. It seemed like I had
just nodded off, and I found myself in a dark place, and soon I noticed a light
off to the left, so I moved toward it. It
was the Amber glow of streetlights at night, in a Misty four way intersection.
I then saw a dark figure crossing through the crosswalk.
I 'realized' that is was my older sister who had died 14 years earlier.
So I shouted 'hey, wait up', and I zoomed toward her and, earnestly said
Hi, I love you, and I miss you. And I heard her respond 'Oh? Or Oh!', And
briefly saw her face, before she embraced me, and the scenery disappeared, and
intense vibration started in my ankles and went to my head, as intense vibration
and bliss, but somewhat scary and unfamiliar like electrocution.
It was too strong to contain and I felt like a rocket that was about to
take off. So my mind said, this is
amazing, but I don't want to die' and it kept happening, then my mind said, 'I
want this to end, even if I will miss out on having a near death experience,
then it ended and I woke up.
Any associated medications or
substances with the potential to affect the experience?
Uncertain
I had started taking a vitamin 3 days
earlier, which was giving me insomnia, and progressively making me more anxious
and hypersensitive when I was awake, which I noticed after this experience, as I
kept taking the vitamin for two weeks longer.
Was the kind of experience
difficult to express in words?

At the time of this experience, was
there an associated life threatening event?
No
What was your level of
consciousness and alertness during the experience?
Normal, except for being in an unfamiliar
environment.
Was the experience dream like in any way?
Yes and no.
Yes, because it was dark, and symbolic, and unfamiliar. But no because my
dreams are in living color and in real life environments, but fragmented,
and non sequential, and not with physical sensations .
Did you experience a separation of
your consciousness from your body?
No
What emotions did you feel during
the experience?
Curiosity, in
