I was asleep and suddenly felt myself being "swooshed" away in a tunnel that had a light at the end of it. I knew that I must have died and this was the tunnel I had always heard about. I was scared because I didn't know if I was going to heaven or hell. I missed my children terribly and was sad that I wouldn't be able to watch them grow up. I was sad because I had argued with my husband that night and now that I had died he would feel guilt over the argument forever and that we both went to bed angry.
Suddenly I appeared in this room with my Grandmother and Grandfather and Aunt Sissy (who are all dead.) That confirmed it. I knew I died. Both my Grandma and my Aunt had on these beautiful intricately beaded white dresses on that looked to be almost flapper like. My Grandfather had on a dark suit and was smoking a cigar but it didn't have any bad smell. All three of them were young and incredibly beautiful. I'd say late 20's - early 30's. I told my grandmother that I would never be pretty like them because I didn't have a dress like that and she laughed her same exact laugh she had on earth. (I was thinking you would wear clothes from your era and my era was the 80's).
She said they wear something else where they are from. (She never called it heaven) She said she came to tell me that soon I would be going through some very hard times and for me not to give up and that I would get through it and that they all loved me. She then either said they were my angels or just they were angels and to look to them if I needed help.
Two weeks
later my beloved mother died and I feel certain this is what my grandmother was
trying to prepare me for. This was extremely real and powerful and when I woke
up the first few seconds I felt happy from the love of my grandma but then I
remembered her message and started crying. I called my mother the next morning
and told her of the dream but I never told her the part about the hard times
coming. This dream brings me great comfort since my Mom has died as I know
Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Sissy are ok. I just wish my Mother would come to
me in a dream.
Did
you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
Yes
Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of
you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of
knowing what was communicated?
It was kind of
more like telepathy. But her laugh I believe was the same as on earth
If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the
voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?
Laugh was the
same and voice telepathy the same
Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source
present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?
no
Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the
experience?
no
Did
you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the
deceased?
No
Did
you see the deceased?
Yes
She
was young and beautiful like from her pictures when she was in her 20's or
30's. All three of them were. They were dressed beautifully in white dresses
with intricate beading and fringe and my Grandfather had on a dark suit and
looked very handsome.
How clearly
did the deceased appear?
Solid
How much of
the deceased did you see?
Front
Facing
Did the
deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?
no.
The all died from their late 50's - 80's and were now all in their 20's - 30's
but much more serene.
How healthy
did the deceased appear to be?
Very
healthy
Is there any
possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings
at the time of your experience?
no
Did
you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the
deceased?
No
How
long did the experience last?
Probably
3 minutes total from the time I was going through the tunnel until the time I
woke up.
Was
the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
Very
sudden. Both of them. I remember when I was sleeping that suddenly I held my
breath or stopped breathing and was headed down that tunnel. When I was with my
Grandmother I could still hear her telling me to call on them if I ever needed
help when I was coming back.
My
Aunt Sissy and Grandpa never talked. Only my Grandma did. They were all
loving though.
Did
the deceased give you information you did not previously know?
Yes,
they forewarned of my Mothers death. My grandmother said Soon I would be going
through some very hard times and then my Mother died. It was very helpful
because I miss my Mom so much and worry about her but I saw my Grandmother and
she is fine so my Mom should be ok too.
How
do you currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
definitely real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real
or not real:
It was very
profound and real.
Was the experience dream like in any way?
No
Although I was in bed asleep, it was not dream like in the least.
Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:
I was
somewhat scared throughout the entire event also awestruck but I was relaxing
more and soaking up the love of my relatives when suddenly it was over and I was
wide awake in my bed.
Was
there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
After
my Mother died, I immediately thought of my Grandmas dream visit and how she
tried to prepare me. I was comforted because my relatives are all thriving so
my Mom must be ok too. Although I do wish she would come to my in a dream
visit.
What
was the best and worst part of your experience?
The best part
was seeing three deceased relatives alive healthy and loving. The worst part
was my fear of the unknown and not enjoying the full experience.
Has
your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes
Describe:
I am more
appreciative of God and want to do good works for him. I appreciate my family
more.
Did
you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes
I'm
more calm about death. I don't dread it as much. I think we do not ever die.
Did
the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death,
afterlife, God, etc.?
Yes
We
truly do have life after death. God loves us so much that we never die.
Death
Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a
compact?
Yes
Compact is between my Father and I. My Father or I will come back as a white
owl so we will know it is us.
What
emotions did you feel during the experience?
I was scared as
to what was going to take place that my Grandmother warned me about. I thought
it was related to finances, I didn't think my Mother would die. My Mother had
recently had a bout of heart failure but had open heart surgery and her aortic
heart valve replaced and was doing great. We all thought she was healed.
Did
you become aware of future events?
Uncertain
I was
warned of hard times to come. Two weeks later my Mother died. I believe this
was the purpose of my Grandmothers visit.
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
Uncertain
That's a very interesting question. Yes, I think. My intuition or perhaps my
angels were I think warning my to spend as much time with my Mother as
possible. I remember kissing her on the lips the day she died. I never did
that. I always kissed her cheek. I was highly attuned to my Mother but I
never thought she was going to die. Looking back, I should have seen the signs.
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
Yes
I
remember right before I went through that tunnel, I took a deep breath and then
I couldn't breath anymore. Once I was in the tunnel though, I was fine as far
as breathing goes.
Did you
see a light?
Yes
White
Light at the end of the dark tunnel I was flying through. I had no control in
the tunnel.
Did
any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location
described above?
Yes
Yes,
When I was with my relatives we were in a room with only a table and chairs. It
was just a basic table and chairs.
Have
you shared this experience with others?
Yes,
It's
hard to say. I think some believe me and some just think it was a dream.
Have
you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or
web site?
No
Were there any
associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Did
you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or
other spiritual event?
Yes
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes
