I was in the sleeping
well and can't remember any dreams prior to the one that woke my early that
morning. It was getting light and my husband was sleeping beside me when I sat
up and shouted "WHO? WHO are you going to take?" That is how I woke from my
dream. In my dream I was standing in front of my parents home at the end where
the driveway becomes yard. I was facing to the East towards their woods and I
see a group of people walking towards me through a slight fog. I stand there
and wait. I finally begin to make out faces and they are all smiling and
looking at me lovingly. They even have my Clumsy with them and he's grinning at
me like he always did and snorting and sneezing. When they are about five feet
away from me, I start to take a few steps toward them when my grandpa Lee holds
up his hand to stop me. I look at all them and see both sets of Grandparents,
my Aunt and Uncle, and a few other people I don't recognize. My grandpa Lee
looks at me with such love and compassion as he tells me "Mary, honey, we have
come to take him" That is when I wake up and yell who. I told my husband
about my dream, then later told my 20 year old daughter about it still wondering
who "him" was. About 5 days later we found out that my Daddy had stage 4
cancer. He died about 5 months later.
