A
dear artist friend of ours , who actually introduced me to my wife, had passed
away a couple of years prior to this. We were visiting her husband one day and
he asked if we would like one of her handmade , printed cloth bags. Of course we
said we would love one. Several months later I was organizing my wife's art
studio and I saw the bag. I picked it up and it was making me think of Martha
and how happy I was that it spurred some memories. As I'm holding the bag and
noticing the print, which was fish scales and several purple fish, a song
playing on the radio was Cream's,
'Tales of Brave Ulysses' , and the lyric's sang, 'tiny purple fishes, run
laughing through your fingers.....' and I'm looking at the bag and thinking this
is definitely a sign from Martha. I decided to call her husband because I
thought he would find it interesting. He did and said he was getting goose bumps
because along with what I told him, Martha's absolute favorite band was Cream. I
had no idea about that!!
