While explaining to my children that Grandma was about to die and to get ready to go to the hospital my eldest child's face was turned side ways to me as she was telling me that she did not want to see her step Grandmother that way. As she spoke I saw a puff of neon green smoke exit her mouth or else it came from behind her and only appeared to come from her mouth. When we reached the hospital the grandmother was dead already. I don't know exactly the moment of death but it could have been at the moment of the appearance of the green smoke.
I have considered over
the years what the significance of the green color was and my only conclusion is
that Connie's birth month was May and we had given her a beautiful Emerald ring
which she had returned to me shortly before her death to give to my youngest
daughter. For some reason I feel intuitively that that is the significance of
the green color.
Was this
experience difficult to express in words?
No
Did you hear the
deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
No
Did you feel a
touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?
No
Did you see the
deceased?
Uncertain
just a puff of green
smoke
How
clearly did the deceased appear?
the smoke was clearly
there visually to me
How
much of the deceased did you see?
just the smoke
Did
the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?
N/A
How
healthy did the deceased appear to be?
N/A
Is
there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
no
Did you smell a
distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?
No
How long did the
experience last?
for two seconds
Was the beginning
and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
both sudden
Could you sense the
emotions or mood of the deceased?
No
Did the deceased
give you information you did not previously know?
only that Connie
might have died and that I was able to sense a possible presence. This came at a
time in my life when I could use a confirmation that there was something more
than just this life. I was not convinced but it gave me something to think
about.
How do you
currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was probably
real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not
real:
For lack of a clearer choice I will say that I did see it. I know it wasn't
really with my physical eyes although it seemed that way. What I saw I can't
really say.
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
No
Describe in detail
your feelings/emotions during the experience:
Sad that she was dying
and sad that I had to put my children through the experience.
Was there any
emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
I felt that there
was a slight possibility of life after death where prior to that I felt that it
was unlikely.
What was the best
and worst part of your experience?
That whatever it was I
was able to see it and therefore if it was an after death communication I was
very privileged. That is the best part and the worst is that I can never know
for sure.
Has your life
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
No
What other attitudes and beliefs about your experience do you currently have?
Hallucination
it could have been a hallucination but if so it picked a very convenient time to
appear
Did you have
any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Uncertain
I seem to be a skeptic still
Did the experience
give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God,
etc.?
Uncertain
It gave me a slight hope but I feel that there is only one true way to find out
if there is life after death and that is to die. It really won't matter whether
there is or there isn't because if there is I'll know then and if there isn't I
won't know anyway.
Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a
compact?
Yes
With my husband. The
deceased was not in the compact.
Did you observe or
hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be
verified later?
No
What emotions
did you feel during the experience?
A slight ray of hope
that there may be life after death
Have you shared
this experience with others?
Yes
Interested although they can only trust that I am telling them facts.
Did you ever in
your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other
spiritual event?
Yes
Besides visitations
in dreams which people will pass off as just dreams even though I wouldn't. I
have been saved from injury and death in a couple of unexplainable ways. I have
had dreams of events which were taking place at that exact moment elsewhere. I
have had unusual things appear or happen at the exact moment in which I needed
them and had just been sincerely wishing for them; things which couldn't be
explained how they come about.
Did the questions
asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your
experience?
Yes
It was a simple
event so easily explained
Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire. no
