Occurrence 1
My
mother passed away on 9 March 2001 after a 1-year battle with stomach cancer. On
Valentine's Day, I had given her a gift-wrapped rose which she then put on the
altar(she was Catholic).
On
Easter Sunday, about a month after she passed away, the rose inexplicably
disappeared. We had noticed it on the altar just two days earlier(Good Friday).
It has never been found, despite the family looking in very nook and cranny.
Occurrence 2
Soon after the first occurrence, a vase of silk flowers my mother had bought was
mysteriously moved from the TV console where it was placed to a sideboard a few
meters away. I had noticed it on the console just a few minutes before I saw it
on the sideboard. A friend whom I confided in asked me to check whether there
were numbers on the vase as she told me of a common phenomenon-associated with
local Chinese culture-of people buying lottery with numbers ostensibly from
deceased relatives . I turned over the vase and saw a price tag: $29.00. Though
skeptical, I bought the number at a lottery outlet the next day out of curiosity
-my first and last try at this form of gambling. The number 0029 came out as a
consolation price on that day ! Though I didn't win, I am convinced it was a
message from my mother.

Describe in detail
your feelings/emotions during the experience:
Occurrence 1: I was just doing some work on the computer which was next to
the altar when I noticed the rose was missing, and was at first angry, thinking
one of my family members had removed it. Then very puzzled after I asked my
family members and no one had touched the rose at all.
Occurrence 2: I was watching TV when I noticed the vase had
been displaced from the TV console to the sideboard. I was very perplexed at
first and couldn't believe my eyes. My other family members couldn't account for
it either.
Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
I was assured my mother was in a better place, still existed in some
dimension and that she had forgiven any hurt I might have caused her while she
was alive.
What was the best and worst part of your experience?
I was comforted by my mother's message of love from the other side, and
know there is existence after death
Has your life changed specifically as a result of
your experience?
Uncertain
Describe:
I became interested in spiritual matters,
and the afterlife, especially in the last few years. I have just read Dr
Eben Alexander's 'Proof of Heaven' and Anita Moorjani's 'Dying to be me', and
watched videos on NDE and reincarnation on Youtube.
