Experience description:

On Monday, January 13, I arrived home from work, a typical Monday.  I heard the "beeping tone" of my answering machine and I proceeded to play my message.  The message was an "accordion" playing a little tune, lasted for about 45 seconds and that was the end of the message.  Absolutely no words were used.  My dad played the accordion.  Although the "tune" was not a familiar one to me, the end of the "tune" ended with notes that he use to always end his songs with, regardless what song he was playing.

I contacted my family immediately and told them about it and asked them if any of them had played a ridiculous "joke" on me.  None of them had and asked who would do such a cruel thing.

Was this experience difficult to express in words?  No

Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?  Externally - answering machine

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?         Sudden

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           Yes

Yes

They have no explanation either.  The only possibility would be someone playing a cruel joke and the only people who knew about my dad playing accordion were family and friends and we cannot believe someone would do such a thing.  And....how would they ever get a piece of music that ended the tune with the notes the way he use to always end his songs???
