My beloved Sok-Jun (Cantonese feminine given name
approximately translated as Precious Treasure), with whom I lived for 25 years,
has been deceased for many years. I
now live alone. Recently. I asked a
question, in words, addressed to no particular person, while alone in my
residence: 'I wonder how Sok-Jun is doing?'
The next morning, just prior to fully waking up, I perceived singing, a
song from Sok-Jun, and the song was a sentence, 'I've got freedom,' sung as
exactly that single sentence, repeated at least three times.
I guess it was repeated to make sure I really received the message and
also remember and understand it. She
sometimes sang while alive on earth, mostly Cantonese and Mandarin songs.
When I fully woke up, the singing had faded out, but I could feel the
many tears on my weeping face already, because I had been weeping before I
awoke. I sometimes weep, also
getting nasal congestion at the same time, when I read a report here at this
site which particularly resonates with me, such that I have to stop reading
because I'm overcome with emotion.
It's a matter of knowing, recognizing something.
Background Information:
Was this experience difficult to express in words?
Yes
Writing about these experiences is usually difficult because human
languages are not developed to normally discuss the NDEs, ADCs, and the many
forms of OBEs.
Did you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the
deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling them?
No
Did you hear the deceased or hear something
associated with the deceased?
Yes
Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was
communicated:
Heard the sung sentence, 'I've got freedom,' as
exactly those words, at least three times.
Did the voice or sound seem to
originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice
or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?
I was alone, in bed, just waking up.
There was no possible external source of the singing.
If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar
from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?
It was Sok-Jun, as she
has now assured me, believe it or not, but that is, as she would sometimes say,
God's truth, although she had no particular religion.
She had been raised as a Buddhist, intermixed with Kwan Yin and
traditional Cantonese custom and
belief.
Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other
source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?
no
Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time
of the experience?

left ear, and moderate loss in right ear, plus tinnitus which doesn't worry me.
Did you feel a touch or experience any physical
contact from the deceased?
No
Did you see the deceased?
No
Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance
or odor associated with the deceased?
No
How long did the experience last?
