My late husband (Mick)
came to me and took me somewhere I didn't recognize. I felt as if I was not on
this earth, possibly the astral plane?? His aura was clear for me to see, lots
of softly flickering colors of varying hues. I felt so safe and comfortable with
him, as if we had never been apart. We discussed at length his death and how he
felt at the time and what happened directly afterwards. By that I mean he
explained the excruciating pain he suffered for a split second prior to his
death and then the calm feeling afterwards. We seemed to speak for some time and
then he was gone as quickly as he came and I fell into a deep restful sleep. I
awoke 2 hours later feeling a little sad, a bit more confused/perplexed and a
little more accepting of his death.
Was this
experience difficult to express in words?
No
Did you hear the
deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
Yes
Did
the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you,
or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was
communicated? I
could hear him inside my head but it seemed like he was standing right near me
talking. He was there but he wasn't. Very difficult to describe.
If
you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound
the deceased made when they were alive?
It was definitely him
but softer, he seemed more at peace.
Is
there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
Definitely not, I live
alone on a rural 300 acre property.
Was
there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?
No
Did you feel a
touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?
No
Did you see the
deceased?
Yes
How
clearly did the deceased appear?
Almost solid but not
quite, kind of ethereal.
How
much of the deceased did you see?
all
Did
the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?
He appeared to be
the age I remember him the most - almost 10 years younger than when he died.
How
healthy did the deceased appear to be?
He looked to be in
perfect health. Prior to his death he had been on prescribed pain killers for
many years due to severe chronic pain in his shoulders.
Is
there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
No
Did you smell a
distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?
No
How long did the
experience last?
Unsure, it
seemed a long time i.e. an hour or more but I don't think it was. Time didn't
seem to pass at the same speed as it does in normal day to day life.
Was the beginning
and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
When I first lay
down I was very conscious/aware of my surroundings and he just seemed to appear,
stay for the duration of the conversation and then was gone as quickly and
unobtrusively as he appeared. I felt myself fall deeply asleep as soon as he was
gone.
Could you sense the
emotions or mood of the deceased?
Yes
Did the deceased
give you information you did not previously know?
Only about the
pain he endured at the moment he was crushed and the 'soft' feeling once he had
passed over.
How do you
currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
definitely real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not
real:
It was so unlike anything I have ever experienced and I just know he was with me
at that point in time. I have often 'felt' him around me but this was different,
he was there. Somewhere. I felt like he was trying to tell me he's ok, like he
was trying to put my mind at rest.
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
Uncertain
It seemed very real
yet not, he wasn't physically in my room, he and I were 'somewhere' but it
didn't feel like it was in my head.
Describe in
detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:
a little sad, a bit
more confused/perplexed and a little more accepting/understanding of his death.
Was there any
emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
Thoughtfulness,
slight confusion, sadness, love
What was the best
and worst part of your experience?
The best part was
getting to be with him again and seeing he was ok and happy. The worst thing was
having him leave me again.
Has your life
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Uncertain
Describe:
It is to soon
after my experience to know.
Did
you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
No
Did
the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death,
afterlife, God, etc.?
Uncertain I've always believed in life after death etc but it was
more a spiritual feeling than anything, almost as if Mick wanted me to
understand what it is actually like to die.
Death Compacts

seemed slower. I felt like we were together for an hour or more but we weren't.
Did
you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose?
Yes
That
death is not the end, it is merely an altered existence.
Did
you become aware of future events?
No
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
No
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?

perplexed also.

or web site?
No
Is
there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?

the experience?
No
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
