My son died in October 2009. He had traveled to 37 countries before his death. He had never traveled to Asia. Shortly after his death, my wife agree to travel with my wife's brother to Thailand and China. We agreed to do this because we wanted to honor our son by carrying on with the travels that he made before his death and because he had not traveled to Asia. The trip was scheduled for April 2010. About two or three weeks before the trip I became anxious about going because of work commitments and because of the riots in Bangkok. Also, one day, I asked my son to tell me that he was happy. I had other visits and experiences with my son but I felt I need to know that he was happy.
A couple of nights
after my request I had a "visit" from my son. It started as a dream and then he
appeared. He looked very healthy and was wearing blue jeans that fit perfectly
and a crisply ironed and extremely bright white shirt. The shirt was loose
fitting and untucked and extended to his hips. The sleeves went to his elbows.
The collar was open, with a V neck, and an collar similar to those found on a
Nehru jacket. I had never seen a shirt like this. My son and I hugged. I asked
him if he was happy. He responded, telepathically, that he was. I asked, "are
you very happy?" He said, " I am very happy." The visit ended. We arrived in
Thailand about two weeks later. We went to Phucket Island. On our first day we
were driving around and pulled off the road to eat at restaurant that had been
recommended. Next to the restaurant was a dirt market. A dirt market is stretch
of dirt road with shops on the side selling local goods. We walk into the first
stall and hanging on one of the walls was the exact shirt I saw my son wearing.
I pointed it out to my wife and she said," It's the shirt." I bought it
