My brother and I had a pact, that if one of us should die we would get in contact if possible, with the one left behind. We both felt that we had a deeply spiritual bond that transcended brother/sister earthly relationships...in other words, we had traveled many roads together in previous lives.)
You see I knew he had AIDS, and though he was in total denial, my little spirit was compelled to try and force him to prepare for the inevitable.
As a result, after his death and in the months leading up to it; I was ostracized by all other members of my family, even to the point of being accused of causing his death by "my lack of faith."
Needless to say this caused extreme distress, and an excessive amount of needless grief, and emotional pain...I 'spoke' to Mark daily often for hours at a time, begging him to contact me, to assuage the guilt and remorse I felt, and to please assure me that he was ok and still near to me....
The actual experience...
Preceding Marks death and during the time of the experience my only child had gone missing and had been 'lost' for 7 years...at the moment of the experience I was working on the PC going through various search engines looking for my son.
There was a program on the Pc to take voice messages, an online call waiting service that, was used to answer calls with a one-phone line dial up connection.
The 'phone' rang...I choose not to answer at that moment...waited for the message to record...which is very strange in and of its self because I was also at that time Waiting for a very important call, but the machines service also included the callers phone ID, very much likened to today's caller ID service... there was no caller ID, the 'number from' was blank, empty, not even the 'caller unknown' message was there. In a few moments, I played back the "message" Clear as a bell, loudly, I first heard a bit of static, then my Marks voice saying "Hello! Hello?!" THE LINE WENT EMPTY, BUT NO DIAL TONE FOLLOWED...I recognized his voice, the tone, the inflection, the expression that was uniquely his. A jolt like lighting went through my soul! I franticly tried to retrace the call (ridiculous now I realize) Finally dawned on me to press Save this message. It did. (thank goodness)
For two more months I played the message over and over, daily, sometimes as many as ten or twenty times a day...it gave me a comfort beyond belief, a transcending of the fear if you allow me to say. All the while still searching for my missing boy, when ever I came to a fearful thought; I'll never find him, He's dead, or something terrible has happened to my baby); I would replay the message and the peace would settle my spirit. SO SIMPLE YET SO PROFOUND!
At the end of these two months, I received another phone call over the regular phone, it was my boy! He said "Hello! Hello?!"(Just like his Uncle Mark) "Momma I want to come home!"...Two weeks later he was safe in my arms again.
Jonathans story; he had been living in Georgia, had his own small business, and two months past had got an unusual message on his cell phone, (that had a private unlisted number). The message had no caller ID, yet he recognized the voice was that of his Uncle Mark, though it did not identify its self, The voice said, "JONATHAN,CALL YOUR MOM SHE NEEDS YOU!" The line then went blank without a dial tone. He was very p***ed off, how did his uncle get his phone number and why hadn't he left a # to call back on? He called a few friends back here in Texas and learned that his uncle had died and that his mom was in a bad way, that prompted him to come on back home.
Of
course I replayed the message on my machine back to him and even though he had
erased his message, he recognized and affirmed that it was the same voice that
had admonished him to "phone home". Needless to say it freaked him out a bit!

Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a
compact?
Yes
YES! YES!
You have to understand, this was made tongue in cheek with neither of us knowing it could be done, but both of us serious in our promise.
My brother and I had a pact, that if one of us should die we would get in contact if possible, with the one left behind. Also I pressed him if he should go first, to please help me find my missing son, and to "spook" him into coming back home.
Our
contact word was to be "Frankie Dog" after our beloved pet, unfortunately
Frankie Dog was very old and had to be put to sleep about six months after Marks
death...I grieved as much over the dog as I did my brother...weird huh?
Did you observe or hear
anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be
verified later?
Yes My son was the one who
received the most profound message, to call home, that his mom needed him.

belief, a transcending of the fear if you allow me to say...the peace would
settle my spirit. SO SIMPLE YET SO PROFOUND!
Was the experience witnessed
or experienced by others?

received with several others, they didn't care or didn't recognize his voice.
2.Son
erased his voicemail message because he didn't know at the time that his uncle
was dead!
Did you have any psychic,
paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have
prior to the experience?
Yes
A lot of telekinetic
energy...Could not keep a light bulb burning in the house for more than a few
hours at a time! Odd, I had forgotten about this till you asked!
Did any part of your
experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described
above?
Uncertain, apparently there was a communication at the same time to another
person, my son, who was (unknown to me) about 1000 miles away
Have you shared this
experience with others?
Yes
mostly disbelief until story is confirmed by my son. Many have gone on to thank
me for sharing this, especially those who have been counseled after the loss of
their loved ones..
Have you shared this
experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web
site?
Uncertain
I believe I may told this to
another site right after it happened...Yes ,I do remember, before my son came
home in the two months after the call, I searched the internet for ADCs seem to
remember finding one such site and recording my experience there, but the person
who asked for the information never contacted me back.. I assume now that the
web site was run by curious young people with no real interest in factual
information.
Is there anything else you
would like to add regarding your experience?
YES, Thank You for allowing me to
share this.
I believe
Mark has tied me to the PC this morning and 'made' me fill out this form.
LOL, he always was an imp with a wicked sense of humor, and must know that I

with a very short life review.

experience?
Yes I believe ya'll got it down pat.
Because my experience was shared by my son, I hesitated to fill out two forms, please forgive me that omission.
Please
offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.
I don't believe so.
