Experience description:
I have posted to your site
as an experiencer of an NDE and this is one of the things that happens since my
own NDE in 1978. I see my close friends, relatives and animals after they die as
a way to say good bye and express our love for one another. In the case of my
animals they come to me in my sleep as they move to the other side and we can
feel each other, I see him or them and I hear them as if we are talking mind to
mind. They always seem to be positioned just below me like as if I was on the
top bunk of a bunk bed and I'm looking down at some one on the floor as they
stand there and it's the same for all my experiences. In this case my father
(whom by the way was involved in and a witness in my own NDE that changed his
life as well) is the subject here. The actual experience didn't happen until I
spread his ashes over the river but in the case of my brother it was
instantaneous and in fact I called my mother and told her to call the hospital
because Rick just passed and she did and to the amazement of the doctors it had
just happened that he died minutes before her phone call. Back to my Dad, I was
the last to find out of his death and about a week or two had passed and we
finally got his ashes back from California because they were backed up from the
holidays. We went to the river with some rather obscene and rude family and it
was an emotional event. Later that night when I went to bed I was dead tired and
fell asleep quickly. I was soon greeted by my Dad and he had his hands around my
head and he pulled me close to his face and we stared in to each others eyes for
a moment and his blue eyes took on an almost brilliant blue color like he was
wearing contacts but in real life he just had reading glasses. We continued to
look at each other like we were taking a picture and then he stepped back and
was still below me like I was on the top bunk of a bed set and watching him
below me. I asked him if he's ok now and he said he felt total love and joy and
I said good so what do you see for me and he pulled up to me again and smiled to
me face to face and I felt assured without words being said then said he would
see me later. That was the first night and he came back again about a week later
and he was dressed like a greaser from the fifties with the rolled up white
t-shirt sleeves and leather jacket which is when he was in his early twenties.
His hair was now black and slicked back and he looked as if he was twenty. He
was smiling quite a bit as he walked around under a spot light with glimpses of
fifties motif in the background and he thanked me for everything and told me he
loved me and would see me later I realized from other past experiences that the
passing like to revisit a happy younger time in their life and that's what he
was doing. He visited me once more about a week later but it was much briefer
like he had somewhere to go and was saying bye one last time and I said i love
you see you later. No smells are remembered at the time but to this day when I
smell a cherry wood smoking pipe it reminds me of him and it usually happens at
crucial times in my life.
Was this experience
difficult to express in words?
No
Did you ONLY sense an
awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling
or smelling them?
No
Did you hear the deceased or
hear something associated with the deceased?
Yes
Describe what
you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:
his voice but it was heard mind to
mind and not with ears but in other experiences I do hear sounds like they are
in the room but not in this case other than the voices. The voice was very
focused and clear with a kind of freedom you don't have with ears as you are
aware of more of what you hear with a clarity that's like direct sound with out
resistance and instantaneous.
Did the voice or
sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not
hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?
It's like he joined me in my mind
as if my mind was a meeting room and he was there. I know that sound weird but
it's true.
If you heard a
voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the
deceased made when they were alive?
Same sound and mannerisms as if he
were alive no change but clearer.
Is there any
possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings
at the time of your experience?
None I was in the quiet of my
bedroom at night alone.
Was there any
possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?
Enhancement not impairment
Did you feel a touch or
experience any physical contact from the deceased?
Yes
When he touched the sides of my
head and we looked directly face to face in each others eyes
Was the touch
familiar or unfamiliar?
It was comforting and very pleasant and sincere feeling.
Was anything
communicated by the touch?
Peace and love and happiness just
like when some one touches you affectionately
Is there any
possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the surroundings
at the time of your experience?
No
Did you see the
deceased?
Yes
See explanation on earlier
description
How clearly did
the deceased appear?
transparency came and went but he
was mostly solid and I could see him as if he were in the room
How much of the
deceased did you see?
All but as the lighting changed
some parts were obscured at different times but otherwise all could be visible
with a certain luminous quality all around
Did the deceased
appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?
In the first visit he was at
proper age the second visit he was back in his twenties.
How healthy did
the deceased appear to be?
In perfect health and happiness
Is there any
possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings
at the time of your experience?
No
Did you smell a distinct
smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?
No
How long did the experience
last?
Time is irrelevant when your in it
but I would imagine it seemed like a matter of minutes not hours so maybe 30 40
minutes each but i never looked at a clock
Was the beginning and end of
the experience gradual or more sudden?
It was like flipping a
channel on television and you come in on a show that has already started.
Could you sense the emotions
or mood of the deceased?
Yes
When your in that realm
everything is connected and everything is exposed and known by all at the time
as if a whole story of emotions is downloaded into you and you feel it without
having to hear the story instead of listening to the story then reacting. He was
totally happy and carefree but he showed some concern and care as he normally
would but there was no sadness or ill feelings.
Did the deceased give you
information you did not previously know?
no not in this case.
How do you currently view the
reality of your experience?
Experience was definitely real
Please explain
why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:
I am a near death experiencer and
have told my story before on this site. These kinds of things only started
happening after my own NDE.
Was the
experience dream like in any way?
No
It was more real than what
might be called lucid dreaming. It was not in metaphors like normal dreams and
has never been forgotten not one detail just like a real experience but with
better recollection.
Describe
in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:
I was angry over the lack of
respect that was showed at his ceremony by the immediate family other than that
I wasn't sorry or sad for my dad because he was in a better place than I was.
Was there any emotional
healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
As stated above
What was the best and worst
part of your experience?
No bad parts it's all good.
Has your life changed
specifically as a result of your experience?
No
Did you have any changes
of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
No
Did the
experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife,
God, etc.?
Yes I already believed and had the spiritual understanding before
this particular experience. All my understandings came from my own NDE and all
other experiences after that were seen as normal everyday kind of stuff.
Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a
compact?
No
Did you observe or hear
anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be
verified later?
No
What emotions did you feel
during the experience?
Relief comfort and peace. my anger
for the family became futile so i forgave them but I didn't forget so I don't
associate with them any longer
Was the experience witnessed
or experienced by others?
No
Did you have any sense of
altered space or time?
Yes
Time is irrelevant and doesn't
pass at the same rate it seems and what might be considered a short time there
can be hours here.
Did you have a sense of
knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?
N0 comment
No it was just like a
communication from one person to another but my special knowledge and purpose
came from my own NDE which allows me to see this.
Did you become aware of future
events?
No
Did you have any psychic,
paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have
prior to the experience?
No
Did you experience a
separation of your consciousness from your body?
Uncertain
It wasn't a typical out of body
experience or astral traveling and I was aware I was in bed asleep but I was
experiencing a real event.
Did you
meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?
Yes
With the humans it was like
there was others milling about in the background as if you were in a crowd or in
a building or what ever and someone would walk by. But with my animals it was
one on one with a black backdrop and no visible floor and they are lower in
elevation than I am as if the next realm is just below ours like another fork on
the river.
Did you see a light?
Uncertain
there's was light to see by but
there was no certain direction it was coming from kind of like a fog or Omni
illuminant is my word for it.
Did any part of your
experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described
above?
Uncertain
I was aware I was in bed but it
was like I was looking in on his location no matter where it was, kind of like a
web cam looking in on the other side but I don't feel like I went anywhere and
was merely observing.
Have you shared this
experience with others?
Yes
Most believe it and don't doubt it and some are intrigued and want to know more
but are for the most part open minded about it.
Have you shared this
experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web
site?
Uncertain
No, but I have shared my own
NDE with your site only and this is the first site I have given these details
about my ADC's.
Is there anything else you
would like to add regarding your experience?
My own NDE gave me an awareness
that allows me to tap in to the other realm because my mind is not shut out by
ignorance.
Were there any associated
medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
Following the experience, have
you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which
reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Did you ever in your life have
a near-death experience, out of body experience or other spiritual
event?
Yes
I gave you guys the story some
time ago
Did the questions asked and
information you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your
experience?
Uncertain
there is more to this than your
asking in the short questions and the long story is a better gauge because some
of the questions you ask concerning this kind of event don't have the right
verbiage approach in some cases. This is just one of many experiences with ADC
for me so if I'm confined to one story then I can't express some of the other
effects that occurred in different events that might be over looked by the focus
on one story. Not all experiences are the same and have different circumstances
that come into play.
Please
offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.
In my case I would like to have
had a selection for "refer to the main story" in your multiple choices of no,
yes, uncertain, and no response. Also the main story board should come first and
then the questions with the added selection of "refer to main story". I have had
many of these experiences and some with my deceased animals. (dogs) and so i
would like to see a more general or multiple way to tell the stories of multiple
events of varying kinds at length.
