I was sleeping and my deceased friend called me on
what I interpreted as a phone. I say interpreted it as a phone call because it
also seemed as if he was talking somehow into my thoughts. I first heard his
voice talking (I don't know what he was saying) as the dream started. I broke in
and said 'You're dead.' He then replied 'I'm dead.....I died.' He said it very
clearly in the same conversational tone he used in life. His voice sounded
surprised and resigned at the same time, but I did not detect any sadness. He
kept talking after in the rambling voice he had in life, but I shut down and
stopped listening, I guess due to the shocking realization that I was speaking
with the dead. I regret I could not
control my brain enough to keep listening. When I woke up, the conversation
instantly came into my head. I knew it was real and the experience has stayed
with me like no dream I've ever had.
