In June of 2011, my brother was in a comma- vegetative state after being revived following cardiac arrest in May of 2011. I had a very vivid dream in which he appeared to me wearing a yellow T-shirt. He looked very happy and healthy around his current age. He told me that he was ok and not to worry about him. We hugged and I said "I'm so glad you're ok".
The day he passed away on 11/25, I went to bed that night. In the early morning, I had a dream of vision in which I saw him. He looked at me and we recognized each other but nothing was said. Then, he faded or evaporated and was gone. His image was immediately replaced by this extremely bright white light. Then I woke up.
A few days after that, I was walking out of the grocery store and saw a very clearly defined, bright rainbow that was in a complete arc from one end of the horizon to the other. There was a fainter one behind it. I could not help but notice, but did not think anything more of it. A couple days after that, my dad asked me if I had ever read any of my brother's poetry. I said "no". He then showed me one of his poems. In the poem it said "when you enter into the brightness, send me a rainbow to shine through the bleakness (of this life)" He wrote it to a very close friend of his that passed away several years ago.
Also that same week I was walking downstairs to a friend's basement. He was listening to the radio. Just as I walked in there, my brother's favorite song from his childhood that I used to tease him about liking came on the radio. The friend told me it was my brother reaching out to me. I was not sure, but a few minutes later I kissed the small urn I have with his ashes in it and said "Wherever you are, I hope you are happy". I then went to the store. There was music playing in the store, which soon ended. Then a song by Eric Clapton came on called "If I Saw You In Heaven" - as if in answer to what I told my brother.
On the day of his
memorial service, I was sad because there was no music played and he loved
music. My mother passed away several years prior to this and "The Rose" was
played at her funeral. The evening of my brother's service I walked into a
convenience store and music was playing. The song that came on was "The Rose".
Maybe a coincidence, but I choose to believe otherwise.

was in the 2 dreams I had. His appearance stuck me because he was wearing a

much of the deceased did you see?
From the waist up
Did
the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?
Appeared to be the
age at which he passed away.
How

Was
the experience dream like in any way?
No
No for all
experiences. Both of the 2 dreams were very vivid as if I was awake. They were
not dreamlike and very short.
Describe in
detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:
Happy when I had the
first dream. I felt sad after the second dream because I knew he was gone and I
would not see him in this lifetime anymore. Happy during the other experiences.
The one in which I heard the song "If I Saw You From Heaven" touched my heart
and I became tearful.

emotional healing in any way following the experience?

I never knew there
was such a thing as "after death Communication" before these experiences. It
strengthened my belief in life after death.

and worst part of your experience?
The best part was the
first dream and seeing/hearing my brother. The worst part was seeing his fade
into the light, because it let me know that he had truly passed on and I knew I
would no longer see him in this lifetime.
Has your life
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
No
Did you have
any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes

etc.?
Uncertain
It strengthened my belief that there is life after death.
