The most vivid for me
is the one about a week after her passing. It was about 6:30am I was sitting at
the kitchen table having my morning coffee. The kids and my husband were still
asleep, and the animals were all relaxed and laying about in various spots
through out the house. I heard this sound of like tools and sockets rubbing
together sorts which came from our back porch. I stood up to look to holler at
the pup to get out of there and realized she was under my feet at the table. As
I walked out to the porch I looked and saw nothing but the plastic bag that had
an oil wrench and some sockets in it. It had been laying on the floor for
several months flat and I had never heard that sound before. I gently opened the
bag and all the tools were flat as could be on the floor like they have been. I
then heard my pup in the living room growling but wagging her tail at nothing.
And I instantly felt this calmness and then felt like someone was embracing me.
I stood there for about 5 minutes with that same feeling then it finally
loosened up so I walked back into the kitchen and sat down at the table again. I
looked up and just said "Thank You Mom."
