He was a person I loved very much, however the relationship could not last as he was far too young for me and eventually it ended and he went back to Melbourne to live. However, it was hard for me to let go of his memory and for a long time I would cry myself to sleep at night, and each day I would renew the hope that he would return. This incident finally helped me let go.
I cannot call a dream for it was too much like reality. Something woke me up from a deep slumber and with a start I looked up in surprise when I realized that my darling was standing at the end of my bed. With a cry of joy, I reached out to him and he came into my arms immediately. I was so elated and overwhelmed with happiness that I never questioned why or how he was there. After hugging me and holding me close, he gently pulled away from my arms saying that he had to go. I asked him if he would come back, but he said that he did not know. He then walked toward the wall; in fact, he walked through the wall as if it did not exist. As he left, I heard him say,
" Wow this is cool.
I guess that in my heart I finally accepted that he would never return, and was finally able to release the painful memories from my mind. Looking back now, I believe that he may have been very ill or had left this reality all together. Although the memory remains, the pain has gone.
