I had dreamed of my dad
that night, and in the dream, i was assisting him and there was a nurse or
assistant with us. The assistant said, in this dream "She is really a Daddy's
girl." My dad chuckled his deep chuckle and said "Yes." Then I got up, and I
fed the cats and did my other morning chores, and when I walked across the room,
there was a pigeon feather on the floor...no window was open...no doorway - and
I live on the 5th floor of a high rise building. The significance of this
feather is that "Pigeon" is the name my dad called me when I was a little girl!

Experience description
2003:
I had gone swimming, and I
took my watch off. When I looked for it to put it back on my wrist while we
were still at the pool, I could not find it. I know that it was put into either
my pocketbook or my swimming bag. I went to meet my niece for dinner. I did
not have the watch on; kept on looking for it in my bag. I decided to just
empty my pocketbooks when I got home, which I did. No watch. I kept looking at
my wrist with just my silver bracelet on it, and I realized that mommy had
bought that watch for me when we went shopping around Christmas time. Then I
felt really awful, sick in my heart. I know that was one of the last things
mommy bought me, if in fact not the very last thing. So I felt all sad, and I
decided to go to the pool to ask if anyone had found it. No one had. They said
to go ask at the desk. I did. I had even looked in the bathroom at the pool.
All this time, there was no watch on my hand. I kept feeling sad that it was
missing. Finally, I just thought, Mommy, help me find the watch. Then I came
upstairs and when I was going to call Jen to ask her to look for the watch since
I had been at her house during the day also I saw the WATCH was back on my
wrist!!!

possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings
at the time of your experience?
no
Was there any
possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?
no
Did you feel a touch or
experience any physical contact from the deceased?
No
Did you smell a distinct
smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?
No
How long did the experience
last?
about two hours
Was the beginning and end of
the experience gradual or more sudden?
end was sudden - when i saw
the watch back on my wrist.
How do you currently view the
reality of your experience?
Experience was definitely real
Please explain
why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:
I view the reality of the
experience as real because I know that I did not find the watch and replace it
onto my wrist. I would have remembered finding it...and where it was found. It
was definitely not on my wrist, and then it just 'was' there.
Was the
experience dream like in any way?
No
Describe in detail your
feelings/emotions during the experience:
very very upset; anxious to find
the watch; sad every time I looked at my wrist and just saw my bracelet, no
watch. Sad. Lost. Then just decided to ask mom to help me find it which I did
in my mind...thinking it would be in one of my pocketbooks when I came back from
looking around the building for it.
Was there any emotional
healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
I felt that my Mom had given me
the sign I was waiting for; somehow she 'felt' telepathically that I really was
so sad about losing this watch that she had bought me one day when we were
shopping.
What was the best and worst
part of your experience?
The best part of my experience is
that I know my mom sees me.
The worse
part of the experience was the feeling when I had looked at my wrist which no
longer had my watch on it; only my silver bracelet. My heart really sank.
Has your life changed
specifically as a result of your experience?
No
Did you have any changes of
attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Uncertain
I have never experienced
anything like it and am still in awe of it and anxious to know if anything like
this has ever been documented.
Did the experience give you
any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God,
etc.?
I still
don't understand how this could happen. It is just amazing, but it happened.
Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a
compact?
Yes
I had made the compact with my
Dad, but never with my Mom. I had, however told her that I knew that when she
was no longer on earth she would never really leave me alone.
Did you observe or hear
anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be
verified later?
Yes
I know that the watch was not
on my wrist from the time I left the pool until the time I saw it back on my
wrist.
I asked the
people I was with if they remembered that I could not find my watch and if they
remembered seeing my wrist without the watch.
What
emotions did you feel during the experience?
Amazed,
stunned, confused.
Was
the experience witnessed or experienced by others? People
witnessed the fact that I felt I had lost my watch, that the watch was not on my
wrist from the time I knew I had lost it until it 'reappeared'.
Have
you shared this experience with others?
Yes,
They all
were amazed.
Have
you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or
web site?
Yes
I
wrote to the woman I had sent my ADC about pictures falling to the floor the day
of mom's death.
Is
there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?
I would
just really like to know where I could find a similar experience documented.
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes
