My brother had a
special knock that he would use when he came to visit so that I would know it
was him. Being a divorced mom of two young boys, he always told me not to open
the door without knowing who it was. His knock was 2 short regular knocks, then
5 rapid knocks using both hands. While lying in bed thinking about a doctor
appt. the next day, suddenly, his special knock pounded on the closet door in
the hallway, extremely LOUD. It terrified me at first, due to the loudness,
then I took it as a sign something was wrong. I immediately checked on my two
boys, they were fine. My brother was a "worry wart", always double checking
locks on doors and windows, and making sure electrical appliances were shut off
before leaving the house. I checked everything in the house I could think of,
nothing seemed amiss. I think it was just his way of saying "hello, it's me,
I'm watching over you guys", and maybe he just didn't know his own strength!
