I left work because I
was unsettled with a feeling something was "wrong" I got home, and called the
police where my mother lives to explain could they do a well check as I am
afraid something has happened to her. We talked on a regular basis, but this
morning we didn't. The police called me back an hour later to tell me they found
her passed away on the couch. I had just talked to her the night before, about
12 hours before I got that feeling. I felt it in my heart she had left, and I
was crying and praying to God before the police called me to break the news. I
also pulled my son out of school before I got the news, and called my adult son
to hurry to the house by me, and I called my husband home from work. I felt an
overwhelming sadness and loss and emptiness feeling and the only way to explain
it is I knew before I was told. I felt it.

No
How do you
currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
definitely real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not
real:
while waiting for the police to call me back, I called my brother to let him
know I felt something was wrong. He said that was horrible for me to say, that
our mom is perfectly healthy and how could I think that something was wrong. I
was the only one who got that feeling
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
No
Describe in detail
your feelings/emotions during the experience:
A feeling of
hopelessness and extreme fear and sadness
Was there any
emotional healing in any way following the experience?
No
I'm devastated at
the early loss of my mother. She died very young and left a lot of unanswered
questions.
What was the best
and worst part of your experience?
The best part, if there
is a best part, is that my mom chose me, the middle child of hers to let know to
get moving and get her found. The worst part was losing my mom, my best friend,
and grandma to my kids. she always said she had us kids at a young age so she
could enjoy her grandkids and do things with them without being old and tired.
Has your life
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
No
Did
you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
No
Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.? Uncertain
Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a compact?
Yes
In a
joking way, one time we were talking about life and death. My father passed 4
years ago, a year ago I openly said, "dad, I'm sure you're in heaven, can't you
give me a hand down here? winning the lottery would help" the next day I won 50
thousand dollars. So my mother and I were talking about that, and I told her if
she passes to remember even though I appreciated dad's gift, that a few million
would help a whole lot more...She would often wonder, how if her parent's passed
away, do they hear her when she says her prayers.
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
Yes
The other night, I was crying myself to sleep. My husband said, "try to remember
the pranks your mom used to play" Just then, we heard a ball rolling on our
hardwood floor in our bedroom, almost like a golf ball. There was not a ball in
our room, yet we both heard it very clearly.
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
Extreme sadness and desperation
Was
the experience witnessed or experienced by others?
Yes
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
Yes
On
the day this happened, I wasn't warm or cold, everything seemed frozen in time,
even on my ride home from work, there was literally no traffic, I was the only
car on the road
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
Yes
I've
had experiences for awhile, but they are more frequent now.
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes When I came back to work after taking two weeks off. All of my co
workers are asking me how I knew, no one could get over that I felt that way for
no reason as my mom used to email me a few times a day at work and I shared her
emails with my coworkers. they all knew she was a vibrant energetic high
spirited person
Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher
or web site?
No
Is
there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?
I
always knew there was something more after we pass, but it is awe inspiring to
feel the communication. Almost a sense of my mom saying, "come on you dummy, get
out of work, go home and get someone to get my body out of the house!!" the
feeling I got was overwhelming and hard to describe
Were there any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect
the experience?
No
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Did
you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or
other spiritual event?
Yes
When
I was delivering my last child, they gave me a shot because something was wrong,
I heard a nurse say my blood pressure was dropping fast, the next thing I knew I
was in a "igloo" shaped room with a blue hue I've never seen before, at the top
opening was a light almost as bright as the sun shining directly in it, but not
so it hurt your eyes. I saw my grandma (mom's mom ) and my mom's aunt Mamie who
both passed years before, holding their hands out to me, then I heard a voice
say "not yet" it was a man's voice, and would say it sounded like my grandpa, my
dad's dad. the next thing that happened is they were handing me my baby boy. I
had told my priest about this, and he said the drug may have had something to do
with it, but he had had similar stories of this type of experience. I told him
I've never heard of this blue room. He stated he did, and it was not uncommon.
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes
