Deborah S Father-in-law NELE

I’m reporting the event my beloved father-in law reported. 72 year old Malle with one
previous MILD heart attack. As a large family we were meeting at a resort for
the first grandchild to be married. On the drive to the resort my father-in-law
(FIL) reported
to a very close family member who was sharing the ride w them ( who later shared
it w us) that he had a dream the night before. In the dream he was standing in a
large room filled w light and many many beds. In the room was a woman standing
who said to my FIL that they were waiting for him he reported that he wasn’t
ready. He didn’t think the dream was particularly strange he just wanted to
share it w his lifetime very close friend. I didn’t know about this until after
his death. What I did notice that day that my FIL WHO WAS ALWAYS in the middle
of all social events ( people really enjoyed that man and his grandchildren
ADORED HIM) was always standing outside of the group at one point not even
entering the condo we were staying in but outside the door. After lunch we had
decided to ask the resort to move my in-laws to the condo next to us rather than
down the mountain. After much discussion he decided to drive down the mt and
make the request. He asked our 14 year old daughter to accompany him. As the two
approached the car he stopped and handed our daughter the keys and said let’s
start teaching you how to drive( he had always promised her he would be the one
to teach her and then she could drive his sporty little car that was home in
their garage. They made the trip safely in his rather large Cadillac which to
this day still makes my heart flutter w the idea of this small young girl
driving a large car up and down those hills. They returned and
all the boys proceeded to go golfing. My FIL arrested on
the fourth hole leaving his two sons and 3 grandsons to due cardiac
resuscitation to no avail. I believe my FIL knew it was coming and some how
managed to wait until his children were together as one large supportive group.
Side note our 11 year old kept asking us were he died and we kept replying at
the golf course. He finally managed to get us to understand he was asking for
where on the golf course and my husband said he had just teed off to which our
son replied that THAT WAS sad. E cause he would have preferred to be on the
green. I have always believed my FIL wanted to complete The ONE TASK HE HAD
PROMISED OUR DAUGHTER.
