1. My father passed away last year. I am not in the same city, and he had been ill for some time. He was in the hospital and we knew that he had only a few days left. I awoke from a deep sleep hearing myself say "Dad" and there he was standing, holding his hands together in front as he always did. I knew immediately that he had come to tell me goodbye. My family told me that those last few days they would ask him where he was he kept saying he was at "Cindy's" and you see, he was. My husband had to go out of town and my youngest daughter and myself were alone. I know that he was with us watching us, because he knew that we were alone. My dad waited until my husband returned to pass away. Upon returning to my house after picking up my husband, my daughter was on the phone with my sister, I knew that he was passing on. He waited until my husband was home. Don't ask me how I know this. I just do. My dad always took care of us. Making sure we were okay. That was his last act of kindness, making sure that my daughter and I would not be alone, and that my husband would be with us.
2. A few months after my dad passed, I saw him in my dreams. We were at a convention, and he was talking to people he knew, and I was talking to another group. He was upset because "I should not of been there". But he was well, doing what he loved most, being involved.
3. Recently I had
surgery, but a few days before I did, I had a dream in which I kept telling my
dad to breathe...just breathe...not to be afraid...only thing was although I was
telling him to breathe, it was his voice I heard saying "Breathe". After my
surgery, I believe I had an out of body experience. I could see my face, I was
standing next to it and the anesthesiologist was telling me, "Come on Cindy,
breathe, breathe, come on you can do it, breathe"...and then I was in my body, I
could feel myself settle in, and I remembered my dad's voice telling me to
breathe and I took in the longest breath.

I have always felt things, known things, dreamt things. I did not ask for this,
and it is just recently that I am more vocal about it. A palm reader, one of my
coworkers asked me if I knew I had the "Gift"...I responded, gift or curse?
Sometimes what I see, should not be seen...man's inhumanity with one
another....and sometimes, yes, it is a gift...but I did not ask for this...I am
trying to learn to deal with it....
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
Yes
At times it is in
dreams, at other times it is an instant, a flash of seeing a vision, and other

instinctively that I must reach out and place my hand on their shoulder...I
don't know how I know...I just do....
Describe in detail
your feelings/emotions during the experience:
When it is the
ugliness, the bad scenes I see...or the bad visions I see...it is an
overwhelming sadness, weight...that may take a day or two to leave me...but when
it is what I call the "Good Ones"...oh, the joy, elation....I can not rightfully
describe....
Was there any
emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
Knowing that what I
see, or feel, or hear, or even smell...is as it should be...that sometimes just
smiling at someone allows them to tell me what they are feeling....or that by
the simple gesture of laying my hand on their shoulder comforted them...I do
what I can...when I can

Happiness...and sadness
