As a State sailor, I had to leave duty after my father passed away. On the day of the experience he was in the funeral parlor and I laid asleep on the couch in the lounge, I awoke suddenly and saw the TV sleep mode red light, and the dimmed light next to me in the lounge. Everything occurred very fast. My mother and my aunt slept upstairs, I heard footsteps upstairs and on the stairs. I immediately recognized the usual sound of my father going downstairs. At the same time I felt myself going out of my head under the form of a whitish mass, slipping and crawling on the floor to go to the bottom of the stairs. There, it seemed I raised my head and saw bare feet. I knew it was my father, I saw a smile on his face. I said, Its impossible! he said, Yes, Im Daddy! Then I got very fast back into my body. I got on my feet, I shut the light in the lounge and went upstairs in my room like a robot! No problem getting asleep, only in the morning did I think again about this unique experience!

Did your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness, etc.)?            No        

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     No 

What emotions did you feel during the experience?       Weird feeling when changing from physical state, but always remaining aware of what was going on! Uncontrollable feeling though. 

Did you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?      No        

Did you see a light?  No        

Did you meet or see any other beings?     Yes      My father, see account. 

Did you experience a review of past events in your life?            No        

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?  No

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?           No        

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?       Yes      That everything doesnt just stop, I had other experiences in my life! This is some kind of a confirmation and revelation. 

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?          Yes      Feeling as if I were still connected to the top of my head via a chord, some kind of whitish rubber band. 

Did you become aware of future events?  Yes

            Prior to the experience and later in my life. 

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience you did not have prior to the experience?    Yes      Flashes about events or premonitions! 

Have you shared this experience with others?    Yes      Several years, relatives, close friends during discussions! Many people are scared and closed minded! 

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?     Yes      When reading a book as a teen. 

How did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:            Experience was definitely real        Several factors proved it was true: the TV sleep mode light, the dimmed light, the reason why I got on my feet, went up to my room with no thought about what I just experienced! Had it been a dream, I would never have done this! I would have been scared and unable to get asleep afterward! Footsteps!!! 

Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or significant to you?     The experience was a farewell, also later I did support a deceased person by sleeping next to a biblical style table and a brilliant white light!

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?           Yes      About death and what we really are!!! 

Have your religious beliefs/practices changed specifically as a result of your experience? Yes      Its a mix of all religions! Its a new Zen state of mind! An inner power! I had visions of biblical beings as a teen, though!

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?       I can sometime see some people beaming! Their astral envelope!
