I had a dream that I
was with my Great Aunt at a park like facility with newly planted trees and
pathways. In this dream I was pushing her wheelchair to try to get her to sit
down and she was sort of running from the wheelchair and making hand motions
like pushing the chair away, not clear is she really spoke or grunted, like she
didn't want to be restricted anymore and wanted to go and sort of pointed toward
more elderly folks sort of roaming around everywhere. Then I woke up and I just
knew, I called my Mother and without any hesitation I told her that she should
check on Auntie Next Door, I think she died or is going to die today. My Mother
then immediately called her brother and sister in law who had been caring for
her, and before she said anything, they told my Mom that they were on their way
to the hospital because Auntie had an episode and is unconscious. When they got
to the hospital they had already pronounced her death.
Was this
experience difficult to express in words?
Yes
I can't explain the
certainty that I had after the dream and what the dream meant. Still to this day
I can't explain how I picked up the phone as soon as I woke up and said to my
Mother those exact words, to check on Auntie Next Door, I think she died or is
going to die today.
Did the voice or
sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not
hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?
I clearly had a dream
about my Great Aunt not wanting to be assisted in any way anymore. She wanted to
go...When I woke up I had a sense of knowing.
Did you feel a
touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?
No
Did you see the
deceased?
Yes
In my dream she was
older and still feeble. Her hair was died black in the dream, she had let that
go for a while and had 100 white hair.
Did you smell a
distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?
How do you
currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was probably
real
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
Yes
It was a dream.
Describe in
detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:
In my dream I was just
trying to get her to sit in the wheelchair and she kept arching away from it.
What was the best
and worst part of your experience?
Best is if it was
really her trying to communicate to me that she didn't want the assisted care
anymore.
Has your life
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
No
Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
No
Death
Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a compact?
Yes
Yes,
with my Grandmother I have a few separate experiences that before she died, my
sister and I both asked her that if she dies that she will come back as
something that we both would know it was her and on separate occasions, we both
know my Grandma is an Orange Butterfly.
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
Uncertain
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
After my Mother confirmed that I was right, it was a little strange, my family
were sort of in shock plus they felt like that might happen when they pass away
and they said for me not to tell them when. I assured them that if I had another
dream like that about them, they won't care because they already passed.
Was
the experience witnessed or experienced by others?
Uncertain
Sort
of because when I woke up I called my Mother and said that she needed to check
on Auntie Next door because she died, or is going to die today.
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
No
Did
you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose?
No
Did
you become aware of future events?
Uncertain
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
No
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
No
Did
you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?
Yes
Did
you see a light?
No
Did
any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location
described above?
Uncertain
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes We all don't really know for certain.
Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher
or web site?
No
Is
there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?
I
hope that this experience is described in the proper category. I had other
experiences of my Grandmother leading me to her lost anniversary diamond ring.
Were there any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect
the experience?
No
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Did
you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or
other spiritual event?
Uncertain
I
think they call it "lucid" dreaming where your eyes wake up but you are
paralyzed and cannot move your body and barely can you yell out a peep.
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes
