I was in my car with my wife. Our dog
began a loud keening wail for no discernible reason. Our daughter had been ill
and I knew at that moment she had died. I don't know why I just knew. I didn't
say anything to my wife to avoid upsetting her then. Later the next day her
friend called to report death.

no only the dog howling

My daughter was upset
when she found out she was dead. She had mixed medications, possibly
inadvertently. She was alone when dying. The coroner ruled her death a suicide
due to chemical presence in her liver. This may have been a mistake on my
daughters part: i.e. mixing meds

Experience was definitely real

hard to say! grief at
losing her at age 44, but relief that suffering had ended, I experienced normal
emotional response appropriate for that situation.

relief. Daughter was suffering and had suffered a great
deal.

the car. My wife wondered why the dog was so upset. We
lived in North Carolina, our deceased daughter was 375 miles away in Virginia.
