Because of the
elections on November 2nd, I did not check my email that day. I was looking at
email on November 3rd. On November 2, 2010 I received an automated email from
Yahoo! Messenger with a voice mail attached from my sister (her same email
account while she was alive). When I clicked on the voice mail attached and
listened to it, to my shock and amazement it was indeed from my sister. The
entire family has listened to this. It started out with music like I've never
heard before. It is only about 7 seconds long and at the last couple of seconds
my sister's voice says "Oh, Catherine". Needless to say I cannot explain this
nor can anyone in the family. This has been life changing to all of us. This
is most certainly my sister's voice as confirmed by family and friends who knew
her. Hear the .mp3 - click
here.
Was this experience difficult to express in words?
Yes
I have no
explanation of how this was even possible.
Did you hear the
deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
Yes
Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:
Please refer to
Question No. 3
Did
the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you,
or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was
communicated?
Please refer to Question No. 3
If
you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound
the deceased made when they were alive?
The only difference in
my sister's voice was, for the very first time ever, she sounded so relaxed and
peaceful!
Is
there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
No...not at all. This
was all electronic in nature.
Did you feel a
touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?
No
Did you smell a
distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?
No
Could you sense the
emotions or mood of the deceased?
Yes
It was as though my
sister was trying to express a message of how I wouldn't believe how happy she
is!
Did the deceased
give you information you did not previously know?
No
How do you
currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
definitely real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not
real:
Obviously, this is very
difficult to explain, however, having received a recordable communication such
as this voice mail message; even given the fact that something of this nature is
capable of being done by another person, I have never heard of anyone receiving
a voice message that could be so short and exact replication of my own sister's
voice as I and the other family members experienced during her life. My sister
did not have many friends or acquaintances who were capable of this kind of
altering. The inflection in her voice and the tone in her voice was a clear
message to me and the others.
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
No
Describe in
detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:
I was in total shock
and my entire body experienced a jolt of chills.....as well as the other members
of the family who listened to the recording.
Was there any
emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
I felt a sense of
relief for her and assurance that she is indeed in a better place.
What was the best
and worst part of your experience?
A sense of knowing my
sister is experiencing peace, joy and happiness
Has your life
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
No
Did
you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes This very simply served as confirmation of life after life.
Did
the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death,
afterlife, God, etc.?
Yes The experience has me convinced that there is indeed more to "life" than
what and where I am today.
Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a
compact?
Yes
Oh,
yes! I asked my sister to let me know she was okay after she died.....and she
did!
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
Yes
This voice message came as an MP3 formatted recording....Yes, I believe it is
verifiable given the advancement of technology today.
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
I
felt assured that my sister is in joy, peace and love where she is right now.
Was
the experience witnessed or experienced by others?
Yes
Everyone in the family has listened to the recording and everyone was shocked
and amazed, wondering how in the world this could have been done!
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
No
Did
you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose?
Yes
I
simply sense my sister was keeping an agreement with me and it was very
comforting and reassuring.
Did
you become aware of future events?
No
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
No
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
No
Did
you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?
No
Did
you see a light?
No
Did
any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location
described above?
Yes
My
nephew told me that days prior to my receiving this voice message that he was
having very strange problems with her computer and ultimately had to unplug it.
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes All of the family and close friends were as amazed as I. Others simply
blew it off.
Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher
or web site?
Yes
I
have sent emails to others like John Edward, Carolyn Myss and other Ghost hunter
types, but to-date have had not received any responses.
Is
there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?
I
would like have this recording validated or debunked. Other than that, I am
convinced without a doubt it was my sister's message. I would also like to
share with others, just for the experience. I believe this is a valuable
occurrence in the event others have or will experience similar types of
communication.
Were there any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect
the experience?
No
