In
my dream I opened a drawer in my bedroom and my brother was casually lying in
it. very relaxed and w/o emotion. I was shocked. 'Danny what are you doing
here?' 'Please tell her to stop.' 'Mom is still mourning and won't let me go.
Please tell her to stop so can continue my journey.' I sensed he was about to
leave so rapidly asked him to describe where he was. He was gone... I awoke and
immediately phoned my sister in Arizona. She was 18 at the time. 'Linda, is it
true you always telling me mom is handling death just fine?' 'Yeah. mom's find
but why calling this late?' I described my dream and my sister broke into tears.
'Mom has not gotten off the sofa since Danny died. She rarely eats and wants
nothing to do with anyone.' Later that day Linda told our mother about my dream.
My mom smiled for the first time since Danny's death and said, 'Thank you. I can
now let him go.' She did and returned to a normal life w/o endless grief.
