I was driving down the street towards town when I began to smell him very very strongly and I knew he was sitting in the car next to me, so I said Hi Will!, I drove straight to the nearest phone and called the nursing home he had been for about a year and asked about his condition and they told me he had passed only moments prior to my call.
Was this experience
difficult to express in words?
No
Did you ONLY sense
an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing,
feeling or smelling them?
No
Did you hear the
deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
No
Did you feel a
touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?
I felt his frequency
come over me like a wave, but not anything I could describe as a hand etc. I
knew he was then sitting next to me, I felt uplifted and empowered by it but
also a little nervous.
Was
the touch familiar or unfamiliar?
what I felt was very
familiar
Was
anything communicated by the touch?
Yes, I knew his
gratitude and joy at riding in his car, he had given it to me.
Is
there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
No
Did you see the
deceased?
No
Did you smell a
distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?
Yes
What
smell, scent, fragrance or odor did you smell?
very very strong
Winston cigarettes, Will was a chain smoker and his body, his clothes, his house
always reeked of the Winston smell, very distinct to me because my father had
also smoked them. Will had given the car to me when my own car broke down
because he then had to go without his cigarettes addiction as I had no way to go
shopping for him then. It too had originally smelled of Winston's but I had done
a thorough shampooing of it and had fragrance inside and the windows open at the
time. So I normally only smelled it when the car had been shut up for a few days
and then only faintly.
Was
anything communicated by the smell?
Yes, I realized,
although not right away that the smell shouldn't have been there, it wouldn't
have been on his body when he died because he had not been allowed to smoke for
about two years because of his strokes. He either had returned to a younger
phase of life or was purposefully making sure I was aware of his presence using
the smell to let me know he still was, still existed in some form that I was at
the time not in knowledge of and thus unable to see.
Is
there any possibility that the smell, scent, fragrance or odor was from any
other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?
Absolutely not!
How long did the
experience last?
Till I reached
town and got out to call the nursing center about ten minutes, but it was no
longer there when I returned from the phone booth.
Was the beginning
and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
very sudden and
I instantly knew he had died
Could you sense the
emotions or mood of the deceased?
Yes
peaceful, ok with
it, content, was what I felt was coming from him to me
How do you
currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
definitely real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not
real:
I had already had several other such experiences prior to this one so I was
beginning to get used to it and accept it more than I had the first ones.
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
No
Describe in detail
your feelings/emotions during the experience:
The tingly feeling came
and I got goose bumps and even still am slightly apprehensive about these things
when I think about them. Most of the feeling comes back as I write now. a bit
shaky.
Was there any
emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
Yes, I became more
open and less restricted in my life, more willing to try things and more
spiritually aware, more sensitive physically to nature, to peoples vibrations
and to the unseen around me.
What was the best
and worst part of your experience?
Relief & release of
him, worst not being able to share with everyone used to be difficult for me. So
thank-you so much for your sight!!!
Has your life
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes
Describe:
As I said before
I became more spiritual and more of a seeker to better understand what was
happening and why me. I also became more loving and kind as a whole
Did
you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes each ADC experience shifted my outlook on life a bit.
Did
the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death,
afterlife, God, etc.?
No that would come later, I did become more of a seeker after this and the
other experiences.
Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a
compact?
Yes
No,..... but he was a very religious person of the Mormon religion and did give
me his Mormon bible to read and I believed at the time that he was sincerely
wanting to lighten my load so to speak, so I could understand me more. In his
crazier moments he would tell me God was in the light bulb in his room and he
would stand there and talk to God and tell him to take care of me, to look after
me, his friend.
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
No
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
I
had mixed emotions at the time happy he was out of suffering, sad especially
when I tried to tell people and they shut me down didn't want to hear it. And
then part of me gets this bliss or joy about the whole experience still today,
maybe even more so today.
Was
the experience witnessed or experienced by others?
No
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time? Yes,
but my body understands that feeling well now.
Did
you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose?
Yes
Absolutely, I am indeed a big picture person and have a very broad knowledge in
my autumn.
Did
you become aware of future events? Not
in that moment or even from that moment but yes I do become aware of the future
often.
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
Uncertain
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
No
Did
you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?
No
Did
you see a light? It
was a sunny bright Arizona day but there did seem to be a brightness where he
was sitting.
Did
any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location
described above?
Yes
Yes,
he came to me again, many times and years later after I sold the car and went to
see it restored I smelled him again and laughed.
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes That's an individual thing, most of my life I was really careful about
sharing because some people just can't handle it, some love it and some are
frightened, I usually feel people out a bit before I share because of some
adverse reactions. I'm not sure if they were influenced or not. Sometimes if
they also knew the person they are more touched by it then. And it has helped me
help others who are fearful of death or of "ghosts", sometimes remarkably so.
Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher
or web site?
No
Is
there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?
We
are more than our bodies and we do exist in other forms before birth and after
death and anyone in fear of death can use any simple digital camera to
photograph orbs and plasma, what we are when we don't have a body to better
understand themselves and release their fear.
Were there any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect
the experience?
No
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience? I
am awakening intentionally and the feelings or frequency of empowerment which
accompanies such experiences is daily present for me.
Did
you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or
other spiritual event?
Yes
Yes,
after a car accident in 1987, I went into the tunnel but not all the way into
the light and was sent back.
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes
Experience
description #2:
I was in the
school office, I did attendance first thing in the morning before going to help
a teacher, the head secretary took me aside in the back and told me (so and so)
had killed himself, I felt a plunge in my soul and heard in my head "It's not
your fault" This moved me to tears and I went straight to the file to check the
name with a picture to see if it was the child I thought it was, and yes it was
he, I began to cry and he put his hand on my shoulder and whispered in my ear
"You were right" . He was referring to something I had told him recently. He had
become upset two weeks prior when a teacher had interrupted a conversation he
and I were having. He frequently came and talked to me as I monitored the lunch
room. And while the teacher took my attention from him, and told him to kind of
go away when he complained about the interruption. But he didn't leave because
he was inquisitive about our discussion. At the time I was too insecure in
myself to shut down the teacher and tell him how rude he was to the child. After
the teacher left I turned back to continue our conversation and the child asked
me why no one ever listened to him, and he went on to explain his question that
no one in his life listened to him or paid attention to him and that all the
kids in the lunch room teased him and called him names, picked on him all the
time. He finished with: "I guess I'll just kill myself." The answer I gave him
came not from my personality which was stumbling, embarrassed, ashamed and
shocked and as I struggled to muster some hope for him I had told him that God
never ever gives us any challenge that we are not capable of conquering and that
there was always a solution available, help for him, but if he did do something
as drastic as killing himself he would only have to face the problem again in
his next life and it would be even harder next time. So I knew he had made a
special point to come back and let me know I wasn't to blame and was correct in
my assessment. He had given up hope without seeking solutions or change within
himself.
Was this
experience difficult to express in words?
not really
Did you ONLY sense
an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing,
feeling or smelling them? No
Did you hear the
deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
Yes
Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:
Its not your
fault and You were right, it was absolutely clear as if he were indeed standing
there speaking it in the body.
Did
the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you,
or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was
communicated?
The first sentence was more internal hearing, but the second was definitely
outside into my ear as if he had leaned over and whispered into it.
If
you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound
the deceased made when they were alive?
It was his voice.
Is
there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
No absolutely not.
Was
there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?
No
Did you feel a
touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?
Yes
He placed his hand
on my right shoulder and whispered into the right ear.
Was
the touch familiar or unfamiliar?
familiar
Was
anything communicated by the touch?
yes, its ok, don't be
upset, don't blame yourself
Is
there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
No, no one there was
trying to comfort me, they were all too distressed themselves.
Did you see the
deceased?
No
Did you smell a
distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?
No
How long did the
experience last?
five or six
minutes at most
Was the beginning
and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
sudden
Could you sense the
emotions or mood of the deceased?
Yes
already described
Did the deceased
give you information you did not previously know?
Well yes, I
wanted to really believe what I had told him but my personality self wasn't so
sure it was true back then, I know it is now and it helps give me hope when I
need it most.
How do you
currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
definitely real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not
real:
There is a part of me that absolutely knows everything and when experiences like
this happen that part of me takes hold of my being-ness. It knows and there
isn't a single thread of doubt that this experience wasn't real. No one could
ever convince me it didn't happen or was "a dream". It wasn't, it was real, it
did happen, absolutely.
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
No
Describe in detail
your feelings/emotions during the experience:
grief, despair, guilt,
anger, failure
Was there any
emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Eventually, and this
helps
What was the best
and worst part of your experience?
Confirmation, the worst
was that I didn't love me enough to just do away with all the self imposed
limitations, sorrow and suffering I blamed everyone else for
Has your life
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes
Describe:
Yes of course,
all of the above, yet I was too enmeshed with his story because it sounded like
my own barrage of complaints, to get out of my own way and take it for what it
really was proof of the hereafter, liberation. I see now how tightly I held onto
the mirror of victimization for way too long.
Did you have
any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Uncertain
I see now I was somewhat confused because I continued to be in fear for the
people whose deaths I did see, which was illogical knowing what I do.
Did the experience
give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God,
etc.?
Yes
I have been before and if I don't change I will die and come again, just like I
told him for I believe all death is suicide. I don't believe we're supposed to
die, I believe we're supposed to change and be different, get over our self and
our experiences and live life to the fullest without boundaries or restrictions.
Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a
compact?
Yes
I do believe we made
a before birth pact, but we (he & I) didn't verbally express that in this plane.
Did you observe or
hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be
verified later?
N0 response
What emotions
did you feel during the experience?
It took me a long time
to get past this one and I began grinding my teeth, and chewing on my cheek
until it had scars and ridges all over it. I guess that's why I had so many
after this, they were all trying to get through to me. And later when I began
conquering myself this became an excuse for me not to change or heal, a base for
my sorrow to hang its hat on. Like Jesus on the cross, what bullshit that is.
Many the mourning sorrowful mother. What a lie! It has to come to an end.
Was the experience
witnessed or experienced by others?
Uncertain
I was certainly not
alone at the time but did not share immediately my experience and do not know if
he contacted anyone else.
Did you have any
sense of altered space or time?
Yes
yes, the time
standing still while the whole process occurred.
Did you have a
sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?
Yes
I was pretty
programmed by my own past and the religion of my parents, which I do not in any
way own or agree with today, so although I did have a sense of divine order
happening it was farther back in my mind ,not so up front in my day to day
living as it now is.
Did you become
aware of future events?
Yes
I was already aware
of future events but to a lesser degree or not paying as much attention to them
before this, shutting them out in a way.
Did you have any
psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did
not have prior to the experience?
Yes
Yes, in the mid
eighties I definitely experienced a greater number and more intense amount of
information about other peoples lives. I began seeing everyone's future and the
deaths of many people in my daily reality and in a panic would try to tell them
or change what I was seeing because of my fear for them.
Did you experience
a separation of your consciousness from your body?
No
Did you meet or see
any other beings other than the deceased?
No
Did you see a
light?
Yes
As the secretary
told me I saw a light go from her head to mine.
Did any part of
your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described
above?
No
Have you shared
this experience with others?
N0 comment Yes, a few people but not very many. I think it takes a
more personal experience than someone just telling you about ADC to bring about
real impact. But if they were it wasn't shared with me verbally so I don't know
to what degree it influenced their lives.
Have you shared
this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web site?
N0 comment
Is there anything
else you would like to add regarding your experience?
We are given these
experiences by a loving self to help us awaken, don't put it off too long cause
if you do it only means suffering and disease for yourself and everyone around
you.
Were there any
associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
Following the
experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or
substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
Yes
many beings have
come and been with me after death, and each experience varies, some times I know
who they are and sometimes I don't, some speak, some touch or move thru you,
some just light up to let you know they're there. Its all wonderful! Thank-you
God for my life and this opportunity to share and bless us all each and
everyone!
Did you ever in
your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other
spiritual event?
Yes
Been trying to get
it all in a book, I will one day.
Did the questions
asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your
experience?
Yes
To me they do but
comprehension depends on the readers perspective and words are not the same as
experience. Every persons experiences are unique and purposeful, because of the
differences in us and our accepted histories I think its time to love ourselves
and celebrate the differences rather than trying to destroy them or force our
self to be like everyone else, maybe that's al I really need to say to him/me.
Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire. on questions 14-21 I wanted to say or reply, because probably leaves an escape of non committal and I kept wanting to delete it and make the answer more truthful
