Initial Experience:
We had turned the ventilator off that afternoon on my father and my husband and I had gone home that evening because they said it could be up to a week before my father passed and I was about two months pregnant at the time so I was very tired. Something just told me it would be ok and it was just so difficult to be there. That night my husband and I were going to bed. He was already in and I was turning out the lights when I walked by the family room and the TV was on. I had turned it off earlier that night, so I asked my husband and he said he hadn't turned it on. I had a sense of worry and I asked him if he thought something happened to my father. I thought about calling my mother and at exactly 12:05 AM, nearly three minutes after my experience my mother called and told me my father passed. On an additional note my father loved watching TV and when he was home he spent about 85% of his time watching TV I would guess.
The next morning I awoke, went in the TV room and there the TV was on again, but it was now on a channel we don't watch and we definitely were not watching the night before and of all things it was on a show about Animal Answers and Pets, which my father was a veterinarian.
My TV experience happened for about a month after he passed maybe once a week with the exception of that two day experience after his death. At times the TV may just go fuzzy or turn off or on unexpectedly. I went to my neighbors asking if it was possible their TVs were acting strange because we had seen before where if someone has the same TV it could change your neighbors channels, but we were only ones having the experience.
Other Experience:
My husband bought me an
alarm clock for an IPod one Christmas and we always tend to get interference
because we live close to an airport, but after my father passed it happened
three or four times a night and on occasion my alarm would just start going off.
It got so bad I eventually unplugged the thing and it stopped. My father always
wanted to do a family cruise, but passed before we could and then my sister
passed less than a year after him, so my mom felt it was important to try to do
the cruise. April of this year (2010) we went on a cruise, but when I had first
heard of my mom planning it I was very hesitant and did not want to go because I
have two very small children, but she encouraged me to do it. The morning we
were leaving I was about to go and shower and as I was walking into the bedroom
to go shower there laid the alarm clock still unplugged and on the ground going
off. It never went off before that or since that. I thought it was his way of
saying to go and have a good time.

Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not
real:
It could have been convenience. My sister died less than a year after my died
unexpectedly also. I always thought she would be the one to communicate. I want
to believe communication is real, but part of me still doubts it because I never
physically saw anything or heard my father. It was electronic experiences.
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
No
Describe in detail
your feelings/emotions during the experience:
I was questionable as
to if I was being too hopeful and making myself think that every occurrence
could be a sign of my father because I felt no closure. I was happy at the
thought that possibly my father is still around. I was still sad though because
it brought back memories.

emotional healing in any way following the experience?

Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a compact?
Uncertain
I
always thought my sister would try to contact me after she passed or contact
someone because she was just that type of spiritual person into those types of
things, but I have never had an experience. My experiences were with my father.

you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
No
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
I

happy at the thought that possibly my father is still around. I was still sad
though because it brought back memories.

the experience witnessed or experienced by others?
Yes
My
husband saw the end result or heard it. For example, he saw the TV act weird or
turn on or heard my alarm go off in middle of night when it was off.
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes There was never much of a reaction. Some thought it was interesting. I
am sure my mother was upset and questionable. She mentioned she had no
