It
dissipated, and I walked back into my bed and immediately fell asleep. The next
morning, I woke up at about 6:00 am to take a shower. I remember feeling quite
agitated because I didn't get enough sleep. Suddenly I remembered what had
happened to me, and I jumped out of the shower, put clothing on quickly and ran
to tell my mother. The telephone was ringing, and knew what had happened. I
put my hand on the telephone and told her that that was Grandmother, and
"something happened to Grandfather last night".- And it was right on the money.
My Grandfather had passed away in his sleep at about the time I saw the cloud of
light. He lived about 2000 miles away, and nobody had any indication that this
would happen to him at that time. He had been old and frail after his stroke
for the past several years. That experience has lead me down a much more
spiritual path
Was this experience difficult
to express in words?
Yes, Unusual the way I reacted
when around the moving cloud of light. I wasn't frightened. I
think there was some real unconscious communication taking place, because I just
stood in front of it for several minutes.
Did
you see the deceased?
Yes
I
didn't consciously recognize him, as he appeared as a moving cloud of light.
How clearly
did the deceased appear?
What
I can only describe as a moving cloud of light.
How much of
the deceased did you see?
It
floated above the ground about 2 ft, and appeared about as tall as a man, but
perhaps a little wider
Is there any
possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings
at the time of your experience?
No
Did
you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the
deceased?
No
How
long did the experience last?
I don't
know exactly, because I lost track of time while standing in front of the
entity. However I think it was about 10-20 minutes.
Was
the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
Fairly
sudden. However, there was something else going on, because I couldn't sleep
for hours prior to this event taking place. I think I was supposed to stay
awake to experience this event.
Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?
No
Did
the deceased give you information you did not previously know?
No- Not
consciously
How
do you currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
definitely real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real
or not real:
I was wide
awake. I knew what had occurred the night before, and I had a witness that
heard me say that something had happened to my grandfather before I could have
known it.
Was the experience dream like in any way?
Yes
Looking back, having had many meditative experiences, it seemed that I was in
another state of consciousness during the time I has some unconscious
communication. However I was wide awake directly prior to this event
Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:
I was a
little upset and confused as to why I couldn't sleep
What
was the best and worst part of your experience?
Best part - it
changed my life and path
Has
your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes
Did
you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Uncertain
I was
really too young at the time to have developed the beliefs.
Did
the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death,
afterlife, God, etc.?
Yes,
There is
another existence after this life.
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
Yes,
The
death of my grandfather
What
emotions did you feel during the experience?
I fell asleep
immediately, so I wasn't upset
Was
the experience witnessed or experienced by others?
No
However, my mother was aware of the experience, because I had told her that
something happened to her father before she was told by her mother
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
No
Did
you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose?
Yes,
I don't
consciously know. But I feel some part of me knows
Did
you become aware of future events?
Yes,
sort of
a fuzzy awareness
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?

Although I think time has developed the gifts. Nothing extreme.
