Yesterday, I had a dream shortly before I woke up. I was in my grandmother's
living room in California. Her phone kept ringing, and she was trying to pick
up, but the call wouldn't go through. My grandma knew my mother was on the other
line. It kept ringing, in short spurts. My grandma attempted to call back and
just couldn't get through, she said 'Damn it' as she tried over and over again.
She was very frustrated and it made me sad that I could not help her. I was not
able to interact in this dream, only observe. My grandma did not know I was
there in this dream I believe.
I
thought it was a strange dream and I told my mother when I woke up. She was
freaked out because she spoke out loud before she went to bed 'Mom, I wish you
were here to fluff my pillow and tuck me in'. This is not typical of her to
speak to her mother. Also, there was no way of me knowing this as me and my mom
do not live together, and I've never seen her talk aloud to her mother like
that.
