That evening I was out walking with my husband. It was early spring, and there was frost on the ground. At the end of our street, in the dark I saw what appeared to be a large yellow bush. No flowers were yet in bloom anywhere around. I asked my husband what he thought this was. He replied 'chrysanthemums, yellow chrysanthemums.'
Was the kind
of experience difficult to express in words?
Yes
I found this so unbelievable, that I only told the story to a very few select
people. I was concerned about what they would think of me.
Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
Describe what you heard, how
clearly you heard it and what was communicated:
I seemed to be communicating
telepathically.
Did the voice or sound seem to
originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice
or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?
The thoughts were in my head, but
were not my thoughts. There was no sound.
If you heard a voice or sound,
was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they
were alive?
I had
no idea that this was my mother, until she identified herself. I am still
uncertain.
Is
there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
NO
Was
there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?
NO
Did you feel
a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?
No
Did you see
the deceased?
No
How long did
the experience last?
The communication seemed to last
about 10-15 minutes.
Was the
beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
The beginning was very gradual. It
ended abruptly
Did the
deceased give you information you did not previously know?
In the beginning I was talking to
myself. After a while, I seemed to be getting answers that were not my own.
How do you
currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was probably real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as
real or not real:
I have a very difficult
time trying to believe that someone from the other side could cause flowers to
appear to order.
What was the
best and worst part of your experience?
The best part was the thought that
my mother could possibly exist, and the worst was the shock of seeing the
flowers that I had asked for appearing a few hours later just around the corner.
"Death
Compacts" are when two or more living people promise among themselves that
whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s). Have ever made such a
compact?
Yes
Beside being a teacher, I am also a professional artist. I was friendly with
another local artist and neighbor, who became a mentor to me. WE were very
similar in many ways, and considered the possibility that perhaps we had known
each other in a previous life. We made a deal that whoever went first would try
and contact the other.. He passed away 5 years ago around Thanksgiving, and I do
believe that he tried to make contact. My mother was not in this
situation.
Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later? Yes, with my mother, the yellow chrysanthemums did appear, after I asked for them.
Did you
become aware of future events?
No
In this particular experience, I was not aware of future events. but I was in
other experiences that were dream related.
Have you
shared this experience with others?
Yes
I shared this experience both with my sister, and a close friend. The close
friend was already a believer, and my sister is now also a believer.
Did the
questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes
