The strangest
experiences is having people who are deceased that I never knew contacting me to
give messages to people who are alive (and sometimes not all that close to me).
However, the messages were well-received and very significant to the receivers.
Interesting, if I choose to ignore it the deceased keeps visiting until I pay
attention and give the message. Then they never come again (you would think a
thank you would be appropriate, eh?)
Was this
experience difficult to express in words?
No
Did you ONLY sense
an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing,
feeling or smelling them?
No
Did you hear the
deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
Yes
Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:
They spoke very
clearly to me and gave me specific details and instructions.
Did
the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you,
or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was
communicated?
It was clearly communicated from the person.
If
you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound
the deceased made when they were alive?
Their voice was the
same as when they were alive in the cases in which I knew them. In the case of
the others I wouldn't know, as I didn't know them in life.
Is
there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
No I was completely
alone
Was
there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?
No, I do have
very sensitive hearing.
Did you feel a
touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?
No
Did you see the
deceased?
Yes
Similar to how they
looked when they were alive, just a bit younger and healthier looking.
How
clearly did the deceased appear?
Completely clear and
normal looking
How
much of the deceased did you see?
All of them.
Did
the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?
No, they were all
younger.
How
healthy did the deceased appear to be?
Completely healthy.
Yes, they all were very sick and frail before death.
Is
there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the
surroundings at the time of your experience?
Nope
Did you smell a
distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?
Uncertain
What
smell, scent, fragrance or odor did you smell?
Only in the case of one
particular visit, not so with the others.
Was
the smell, scent, fragrance or odor familiar?
No
Was
anything communicated by the smell?
No
Is
there any possibility that the smell, scent, fragrance or odor was from any
other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?
No
How long did the
experience last?
Just a few
moments.
Was the beginning
and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?
Sudden in all
cases. They appeared, gave me the message, and left. I wished they could have
stayed longer.
Could you sense the
emotions or mood of the deceased?
Yes
Absolutely, their
emotions were expressed and very clear.
Did the deceased
give you information you did not previously know?
Yes, in all
cases, it was true, helpful and I knew nothing about it prior. For example, my
brother Bob came to me and told me to tell his son Jimmy that he should "go for
it-Ohio" I had no idea what it meant. When I told Jimmy he explained that he
got accepted to 3 medical schools (I didn't even know he had applied). One of
them was Ohio and he had no idea which one to attend. He went to Ohio as a
result of his Dad's advice from the grave and he has done well.
How do you
currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was probably
real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not
real:
I have no logical evidence to argue against the experience and the messages that
I received.
Was
the experience dream like in any way?
Yes
Yes it was like a
dream- but much clearer and more real.
Describe in
detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:
I was slightly confused
by the experience. I thought, "hmm, why me?" "Why are they giving these
messages to me?" Yet I felt grateful that I could receive the messages.
Was there any
emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
Yes, it felt good to
know that I could help those on both sides of the veil.
What was the best
and worst part of your experience?
The guidance that I
received (and was able to give to others) was the best part. The worst part was
wanting more time and more answers to questions.
Has your life
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes
Describe:
A dear mentor
named Albert visited with me from the other side and told me where to go find
his personal journal. He died the year I was born, so I never met him in life
and I am not related to him. I found and read his journal (it was right where
he told me it would be) and it helped me tremendously in my career and in life.
Did you have
any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes
Felt gratitude
Did the experience
give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God,
etc.?
Yes
I know it is not easy for them to visit from the other side. They expressed how
busy they are there and that their work is very important.
Death Compacts
are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies
first will try to contact the other(s). Have you ever made such a
compact?
Yes
No, my best friend
Donna promised to come back to me (and me to her) after death. She passed away,
but never came to visit me. However, she was very wrapped up in her
grand-children's lives before she died. I guess that if she had the opportunity
to come back she would choose to visit them, not me.
Did you observe or
hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be
verified later?
Yes
Yes all the messages were evidence. They had details that I had no knowledge of
that was later verified by others.
What emotions did
you feel during the experience?
Felt OK, I was
surprised I wasn't more scared or distressed.
Was the experience
witnessed or experienced by others?
No
Did you have any
sense of altered space or time?
Yes
Yes, the sense of
time is distorted in a bizarre way. Seeming both like it was a long time and a
brief moment.
Did you have a
sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?
Yes
Yes, sometimes I
have tried to write it down, but then it seems so trite later when I go back to
read it. It is hard to capture in words.
Did you become
aware of future events?
Yes
Completely
accurate. In one case it saved my daughter's life.
Did you have any
psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did
not have prior to the experience?
Uncertain
Not sure. I have
always had some gifts. It runs in the women in my family.
Did you experience
a separation of your consciousness from your body?
No
Did you meet or see
any other beings other than the deceased?
Yes
At the time of my
father-in-law's death he had several people from the other side come to get
him. I have had this experience several times (no one dies alone, there are
always people from the other side that come to greet them).
Did you see a
light?
Yes
There is always rays
of light in the background.
Did any part of
your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described
above?
No
Have you shared
this experience with others?
Yes
Yes, I have had others read his journal as well. They were also helped by his
wisdom.
Have you shared
this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web site?
No
Nope
Is there anything
else you would like to add regarding your experience?
I think that this kind
of experience is likely more common, but others are afraid to discuss fearing
that people might think they are crazy. I am pretty confident in my own sanity
and as I have gotten older, I feel less concerned about others reactions.
Were there any
associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
Following the
experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or
substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Did you ever in
your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other
spiritual event?
Yes
I have died and been
brought back to life on three different occasions according to ER doctors.
Did the questions
asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your
experience?
Yes
Pretty well
Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire. You have done pretty well. It seems like some of the questions are a bit leading, but overall it is good.
